printing on C8S

OK, I give up. How do I configure a printer on Centos 8 Stream? I can't find any tools for doing that. further, there doesn't seem to be a cups executable (which should allow setting up a printer) though there ARE a bunch of cups packages installed. Anyone got any clues for me? Thanks in advance! Fred

I've done a number of the easier builds now and they went well. Now I'm trying to build a package which requires imake but I can't find it anywhere. I guess imake could be missing because the Xorg stuff is being built without it today? Does anybody know if imake is still used but not shipped or is it not used and built for EL9 anymore? Is CentOS-Stream-9-20211222.0 suitable for building for RHEL9

Hi, I have to port/build quite a number of packages for upcoming RHEL9. I thought about starting to do so now on CentOS-Stream-9-20211222.0 in the hope that I don't have to redo a lot of the work again later for the released RHEL9. Does it sound like a good idea to start now or should I better wait a bit? Thanks, Simon

how to clear out /var/cache?

Is it safe to just remove files from /var/cache on a running system, or is there a correct procedure for doing that? Mine has hit over 3 gigs, making it one of the larger directories in /, which is running low on space. I've hit all the low-hanging fruit I can find and now I come to things like /var/cache, and I don't know what to do about such. Thanks in advance! Fred
