[Clustering] No OCFS2 Clusters with Pacemaker/Corosync?

Hello Fellow CentOS users. I was hoping to get some information on Pacemaker clusters using OCFS2 on CentOS 6.x. In my initial attempts to get this to work, I realized that Pacemaker is packaged much differently on CentOS than it is on Debian or SUSE. For example, /usr/sbin/dlm_controld.pcmk is missing and ocfs2-tools is nowhere to be found. Users could of course pull in packages from say Oracle Enterprise Linux, but I was curious as to why this is the case? Is OCFS2 not supported on CentOS? Thanks for the insight.

Does anybody have a working version of tcptrack running on Centos 6 x64? The rpmforge rpm installs and runs on the -t eth# command, but if you add a port to it, it bombs with a pcap compile error. lockfile

Hello, i need for an old bios-update the programm "lockfile". The update-bin make a check via "which lockfile". I have installed "lockfile-progs.x86_64" on a CentOS 5.8 and i have the programm "lockfile" and "lockfile-check, lockfile-create, lockfile-remove, lockfile-touch" in /usr/bin/. On my CentOS 6.2 i have install the pakage "liblockfile.x86_64", too. I have the "lockfile-check, lockfile-create, lockfile-remove, lockfile-touch" in /usr/bin/ But i missing the "lockfile". QT menu decorations missing on Centos 6

See this screenshot for an example of what I get when I run qtconfig-qt4 on Centos 6 and select a menu: http://www.melvilletheatre.com/screenshot-qt-example.png If the list is long, the menu extends from the top to the bottom of my physical screen, with a little arrow at the top and the bottom which, if I sit the mouse pointer on the arrow, makes the list scroll up and down. As you can see, the decorations (scroll bar, etc) are missing. I don't think it's a configuration issue, but rather an issue of a missing library, or missing functionality in a library. bind + chroot + webmin

Hi all, I just read about some kind of bug regarding webmin not being able to work with bind if chroot is enabled. Webmin was working fine for me until I chose to update it, and then the bug showed (running Centos 6.2 BTW). So the fix was to disable chroot in the webmin bind module config, seems counter intuitive. Any one mind sharing some nuggets on this? I'm working with bind via cli no issue but this new crop of sys admins have probs with that and want pictures, ie gui so my guys are a little troubled. - aurf

NIS expiration of passwords

Dear all, I have a NIS server which shares a database of users between some computers (nodes exactly) and I would like that, on the first login, the user changes its password. So, on the NIS server I have made: chage -d 0 USER Then: # cd /var/yp # make On the NIS server I have: chage -l USER Last password change : password must be changed Password expires : password must be changed Password inactive : password must be changed Account expires : never Minimum number of days between password change : 0 Maximum number of days between password change : 99999 Number of days of warning before password expires : 7 I would believe this information is shared from the server to the other computers but here users still can connect (via SSH). If I try to get the information on the user connected I have: # chage -l USER user 'USER' does not exist in /etc/passwd This looks normal as there is no user there but then I do not know how to enable the expiration information through NIS. Do someone has an idea? Thanks, Fabien

conntrack

Is conntrack and conntrackd still valid for Centos 6.2? I can't seem to find much on it any more. Is there something else to use? thanks steve campbell

bind: root hints named.ca and named.root

For 6.x I have both of these files in my /var/named directory, probably copied when upgraded. named.ca date inside the file is dated 2008 and named.root is from a few months ago. Am I correct in assuming that named.ca is old and that I should be using named.root in my named.conf files? Is it SOP to use the latest from ftp://ftp.internic.net/domain/named.root thx -- Mike
