CentOS 5 - problem with kernel/process: task blocked for more than 120 seconds.

Hi All. I have a server which hanged two times because we could not connect to the box, it was not responding. Hi, is there anyone using shellinabox[1] (Web based AJAX terminal emulator): I'm trying to run it on a Centos 6.2 x86_64 but I cannot past inserting username and I get "session closed". Actually I'm using SELINUX in Enforcing mode but nothing strange is logged in /var/log/audit/audit.log. Actually nothing strange is logged anywhere but I still get only "session closed" after inserting username and pressing enter key. I'm trying to escape a very strong firewall/proxy for the purpose of managing such a Centos box via SSH and, if you know alternatives to shellinabox, I'll be very glad to hear something from you. Removing LVM

I have a CentOS 5 machine in which I'm trying to remove lvm. I dd'ed the file system to another partition, then dd'ed it back overwriting the lvm partition. I then modified menu.lst and fstab and replaced the paths to point to the correct device. When the system boots it's still looking for lvm. I can restore the system back to where it was with lvm, but I'm not sure what step I'm missing to stop the system from looking for lvm. 6.2 How to change hostname for each individual IP

Good day, I was wondering if there was a way to change the hostname for each individual IP address allocated to a system. For example if only one NIC card is being used (single port) and the hostname of the machine is "example.example.org", this hostname is being displayed for all applications no matter what IP I set the application to BIND to. My server has multiple IP addresses setup as an ALIAS and ive tried setting up ptr's, A records, and even specifying the new hostname in /etc/hosts. No matter what I do when I connect to the application it read "example.example.org" which is the hostname of the machine rather then the hostname I want it to read on a particular IP. Is this possible to change?

totem-nautilus and totem - mp3 duration

I have both totem-nautilus and the assorted gstreamer-plugins installed for playing mp3 files through Totem. I note that Totem doesn't appear to know the duration of an mp3. For example, if I right-click on a wav or ogg file and click on the audio tab, one of the fields is Duration and it tells me how long that file will play. If I do the same with a mp3 file the duration field is always 0 seconds. When I play a mp3 file with Totem the progress bar across the bottom doesn't move and the elapsed time display at the bottom says "Streaming" while counting up the seconds.
