Audacious crashing (64bit)

Hello there, My first post here and even my first CentOS (after years of Fedora). Audacious is crashing at startup, here's the output: audacious: relocation error: /usr/lib64/audacious/Input/ffaudio.so: symbol av_register_protocol2, version LIBAVFORMAT_52 not defined in file libavformat.so.52 with link time reference Does anybody reproduce? Would this reveal a problem (or my misuse) with rpmfusion ffmpeg packages? CentOS6 64bit here on a Dell Latitude E6500. $rpm -qa|grep audacious audacious-libs-2.4.5-1.el6.x86_64 audacious-2.4.5-1.el6.x86_64 audacious-plugins-2.4.5-1.el6.x86_64 $ rpm -qf /usr/lib64/libavformat.so.52 ffmpeg-0.6.1-1.el6.rf.x86_64 Regards, -- wwp

level 3 font size

On my laptop, I boot CentOS 6 to level 3and find the font is quite small. Is there a way to change the font size at level 3? Thanks, Mike.

UPS issues with PFC PSU

Just noticed that our new server has a newer 80+ efficiency 865W PSU with PFC. So apparenty our existing 1500VA (865W) APC Back-UPS is not safe to use anymore. We apparently need a pure sine wave UPS. http://nam-en.apc.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8883 I found an affordable 1500VA UPS by CyberPower, model CP1500PFCLCD, which has a pure sine wave output. CentOS 6 KDE: remove default icons

On my newly installed CentOS 6 I am running KDE (I think; I selected it in the setup, but how would I know?). It has three default icons: Computer; Root's Home; Trash. I do not see them in /root/Desktop. How can I remove them? Thanks, Mike.

OT: Hardware upgrade help

I would like to upgrade my system to a 64 bit machine. I'd like to find a bare bones platform to build on. I'm not looking to spend a lot of money on this as it is a home system. I looked on the CentOS sponsor page but only saw hosting services. I haven't kept up with hardware in years so I'm dumber than dirt on what's out there. I would prefer a desktop so I can stack it. Don't think I need to do the Xeon as that would be overkill for a home user. This would be replacing my 'server' so I need PCI slots for an additional NIC and a 32 bit video capture card used for zoneminder. Not sure what PCI express is or if my cards would work in those slots. Yep, I'm running 8 yrs old machines, IBM NetVistas. :-( Any help or referal to a sponsor would be greatly appreciated. rsync CR upgrade

Hello Is anyone else having problems on 5.6 using the new rsync from the CR repo I have only managed to get rsync (called from the cli) working again after downgrading it to the previous 2.x release as the newer version was just spitting out the ssh usage information and failing. This server is stock i386 with just the CR as an extra repo. regards mike
