hello all reader hello centos network I use to bind core fecora 12 http://jason.roysdon.net/2009/10/16/building-bind-9-6-on-rhel5-centos5-for-… I am having problems with my dk and dkim signature of my emails I have successfully made the process of verification of signatures dnssec all my domains are correct and good displays on dlv.isc.org the reason for my problem just the reason that I have updated my postfix and I have recreated a pair of keys with openssl for dkimproxy the reason for my questions one of my domains. in .fr: before validation of signatures by isc dk dkim said OK Other areas domains ( other .fr and other .eu ) before validation of signatures by isc dk dkim said bad that happens I do not understand thanks for advice thanks for help nb : repondez moi en français sur centos-fr(a)centos.org

CentOS 5 and seamonkey

Has anyone had any success in rebuilding seamonkey 2.0.4 for CentOS 5 (32-bit)? I'm currently running seamonkey-2.0-1 which I rebuilt last November. Sadly, I have no idea where the SRPM originated. BTW, the reason I'm after 2.0.4 is that a friend tells me that he's using 2.0.4 under Windows XP and that it does NOT have the problem with the email address completion that I see and that he also saw until he upgraded his. Pointers, clues, URLs and remarks about my sanity are equally welcome at this point.

CentOS with Kernel 2.6.32 built-in

I have a Asus laptop, from the new generation, and my network driver is present in the kernel since version 2.6.32(Jmicron). Is there any CentOS with this kernel? I tried to compile myself, but I failed. Is a bit harder than I thought. Is there any testing version of CentOS or some backports? Thanks

Problem with yum update of device-mapper

I am seeing the following behaviour on all my ix86 CentOS-5.5 hosts: Downloading Packages: (1/2): device-mapper-event-1.02.39-1.el5_5.2.i386.rpm | 20 kB 00:00 (2/2): device-mapper-1.02.39-1.el5_5.2.i386.rpm | 724 kB 00:02 http://centos.mirror.iweb.ca/5.5/updates/i386/RPMS/device-mapper-1.02.39-1.…: [Errno -1] Package does not match intended download Trying other mirror. The step 2 download repeats until the maximum number of mirrors has been tried and then the update fails. I had previously run yum clean all before attempting the update. metadata cache corruption: cleared -> fixing in progress

Hi, The big mess today in the 5.5/updates tree was caused by a cache corruption in the master CentOS tree during the metadata creation. <tech> createrepo is run with the --cachedir flag. Something went bad :( </tech> The wrong cached metadata for the last updates (see centos-announce mailing list) caused the issue you have all noticed today. We are sorry for that. I initially though that it was a out of sync issue, but I was wrong. The cachedir was cleared, new metadata generated and pushed to the main centos.org server and going down to the public mirrors. Stop annoying kernel message

Hi Everyone! This is my problem: I´m using Nagios tool to monitor my servers with Cent OS 5, and I recently added the script for check nfs. This script makes an rpc request in the server, but every time that script makes this request, I have this message in /var/log/messages: "kernel: svc: unknown version (0)" I´m not sure if this message is only a message or a problem that I have to fix. Could you guys help me to stop this annoying message?? Thanks in advance! permanently add md device

Hi All Currently i'm setting up a 5.4 server and try to create a 3rd raid device, when i run: $mdadm --create /dev/md2 -v --raid-devices=15 --chunk=32 --level=raid6 /dev/sdc /dev/sdd /dev/sde /dev/sdf /dev/sdg /dev/sdh /dev/sdi /dev/sdj /dev/sdk /dev/sdl /dev/sdm /dev/sdn /dev/sdo /dev/sdp /dev/sdq the device file "md2" is created and the raid is being configured. but somehow /dev/md2 is flushed when i reboot the system , same story if i create the file by mknod or MAKEDEV. does anyone know a way to solve this issue and permanently add md2 to devices? 5.4-->5.5 Upgrade broke OO 3.2.0

In order to get an OpenOffice configuration that is closer in compatibility with MS Office 2007, I removed the standard OO in 5.4 via yum and installed the latest (3.2.0) from OpenOffice.org. Ran that config for many months without a problem. However, when I allowed the upgrade to 5.5, OO broke. I finally had to remove all traces of OO 3.2.0, and start over. That worked...until yum tells me that there are updates to apply, which includes an OO update. Not thinking, I allowed the updates and the OO update broke OO 3.2.0 again. The update is: openoffice.org-ure-3.1.1-19.5.el5.x86_64 updates openoffice.org-ure-1.6.0-9483.x86_64 I had to repeat the removal and reinstallation of OO to recover. Now I watch the updates more closely and don't allow the OO update to come in. Not complaining...just a warning to the community of the challenge one often encounters by running software that is not part of the standard distribution. Dave M
