CentOS 4.3/postfix/procmail lock failures

Hello, What is the proper solution to the problem below the sig? For a similar issue, Phillip Guenther, procmail's maintainer, at <http://article.gmane.org/gmane.mail.procmail/1623/match=error+writing+var+s…> suggests "chmod g+s /usr/bin/procmail", but I'm reluctant. There are also suggestions that in this configuration the packager must make certain that fcntl locking is in force, but I DUNNO. Full disclosure: postfix is version 2.3, compiled locally. Procmail is invoked with by postfix via "mailbox_command = /usr/bin/procmail". SQLite with PHP5 problem

Has anyone ever installed PHP5 with SQLiteDatabase class support in CentOS 4.3? I have to run a program with this class for a core feature. But unfortunately, both the php 5.0.4 package in centosplus and a SRPM build from FC5 will not work with this class. With the error "undefined class SQLiteDatabase"! And there *IS* the "pdo_sqlite.so" extension in my php.d/pdo.ini file, as well as the "pdo.so" class. But when I testing the SQLite support with: dl("pdo_sqlite.so"); sqlite_open(xxx); new SQLiteDatabase(xxx); The result is the "dl" line will give out a warning showing that the "pdo_sqlite.so" is already loaded. The "sqlite_open" line will give out a message showing that no function such like "sqlite_open". All the solutions by Google cannot solve this. Is there anyone can explain this? Bad Sectors and Linux Software RAID

Hi, I'm writing because I have a RAID1 setup with 2 ATA disks. The 2nd disk has a few bad sectors, and it was kicked out of the array. My question is: is it posible to use a disk/partition with bad sectors with Linux Software RAID? Is there a way to mark those sectors as bad, re-partition the drive, add the partition into the RAID and make Linux Raid detect and not use those bad sectors? It is recent and tells you to forget the pilot-link from your distro and rebuild it with direct USB support: /configure --enable-libusb You are support to blacklist "visor" so pilot can control the usb device. Also newer code.

Routing problem

Hi, I'm building a firewall/router on Centos. I'm using Shorewall but have currently stopped and cleared the firewall rules to isolate the routing problem. My firewall box has 5 interfaces in it but currently only two are involved in the problem. eth1: inet addr:192.168.1.224 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 eth3: inet addr:192.168.202.1 Bcast:192.168.202.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 eth1 is connected to a switch that is connected to a router. The router is 192.168.1.1 and is the internet gateway. eth3 is connected to a different switch. I have another Centos box that is connected to the switch shared with eth3. It's interface is: eth3: inet addr:192.168.202.10 Bcast:192.168.202.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 I want to provide internet connectivity to this 2nd machine routed through the firewall. Currently, I can reach two machines on the 192.168.1.0/24 network (.5 and .3) but I can't reach the router (.1) or anything outside. I'll paste the routing tables from both machines below. yum fails on resolving dependencies

hello, i am getting this error when i am trying to update my system. yum update Gathering header information file(s) from server(s) Server: CentOS-3 - Addons Server: CentOS-3 - Base Server: Dag RPM Repository for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server: CentOS-3 - Extras Server: CentOS-3 - Updates Finding updated packages Downloading needed headers Resolving dependencies ....Unable to satisfy dependencies Package perl-Authen-SASL needs perl(GSSAPI), this is not available. i am running CentOS release 3.6 (Final) i did a little googling and was even more confused about this. what packages should i have to make the update work? thanks Steven "On the side of the software box, in the 'System Requirements' section, it said 'Requires Windows or better'.
