Need kernel 2.6.9-43.unsupport fron centosplus

I have been using kernel from centosplus for a few months. It quite stable and have support for my TV card and ntfs partitions. However, after the last yum update, kernel 2.6.9-34 from the update repo has been installed with all other updated packages. In fact, i still have kernel 2.6.9-22.106.unsupport on my system but whenever i use this kernel, the cupsd can not start. Can anyone tell me when the kernel 2.6.9-34.unsupport available? If nobody make that unsupport kernel, how can i roll back all the packages that can be use with kernel 2.6.9-22-106.unsupport or how can i add driver for my TV card and ntfs support? Getting DHCP Via CLI

Hi All, I'm wanting to tell my centos box to get a dynamic ip via cli. I know I can do "ifconfig eth0 up", or "ifconfig eth0 191.168.100.35 netmask 255.255.255.0", but, how do I tell it to send the dhcp 0.0.0.0 broadcast to the DHCP server? Cheers. Mark Sargent.

Motherboard recommendations

I have been building my systems with Abit IS-10 motherboards, but NewEgg has stopped carrying them, so I need to switch to something new. Does anyone have any recommendations on a solid motherboard that works well with CentOS? I need a motherboard with built-in video, LAN, and SATA. I don't need RAID or any other fancy features, just something cheap and solid. I've been looking around, but there are lots of boards that look like they would work and I know nothing about any of them. I was just wondering what you guys are using. Thanks. -- Bowie

2.6.9-34.EL kernel broken on i586?

My three basement machines got upgraded to 2.6.9-34.EL by nightly yum cron job. The two i686 seem to be fine. However, on the old i586 machine I got hole bunch of warnings. Haven't attempted rebooting it with new kernel yet. sshd hack

I'm not really a programmer and I recently came across this hack to insert a short sleep statement into auth-passwd.c within sshd. It seems to quickly confuse automated dictionary attacks. I've moved sshd to higher ports but apparently the cretins are now scanning to look for that and attacking on whatever port sshd shows up on. Q's about switching from sendmail to postfix

Running CentOS 4.2 with all updates. I've been using sendmail for my MTA since forever. I've grown used to it and I can make it do what I want it to. However (there's always a catch, isn't there)... Lately it seems that some mail is being lost. I've noticed some instances when a message was sent to myself and others which I will only see if someone replies back to everyone. Additionally, I am on the word-a-day list and have noticed that occasionally I don't get the word for that day. At first I thought it was just me. My .procmailrc is a horror to look at and I've got some fairly aggressive anti-spam stuff going on. But my mother has mentioned this problem, too. (I have my whole family setup with email on my server, good son that I am) Anyway, I want to try swapping out sendmail for postfix to see if that makes any kind of difference. Now, I promise to hit the HOW-TO's and FAQ's and google/A9 myself blue in the face, but if someone has already done this could you kindly post a quick message with any "gotchas" you found or any config issues you ran into it would be greatly appreciated.
