IPv6 addresses order (CentOS6)

Hello, in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 I have this <ifcfg-eth0> ... IPV6INIT=yes IPV6ADDR=prefix::5 IPV6ADDR_SECONDARIES="prefix::2 prefix::3 prefix::4" IPV6_AUTOCONF=no IPV6_DEFAULTGW=prefix::1 IPV6_DEFAULTDEV=eth0 </ifcfg-eth0> when I enter ifconfig the IPv6 addresses are in a different order <ifconfig> eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr ... inet addr:... Bcast:... Mask:... inet6 addr: fe80::.../64 Scope:Link inet6 addr: prefix::4/64 Scope:Global inet6 addr: prefix::3/64 Scope:Global inet6 addr: prefix::5/64 Scope:Global inet6 addr: prefix::2/64 Scope:Global </ifconfig> is there a way to influence the order? or how can I tell e.g. ssh to use a specific IPv6 address? (as it seems ssh uses the first one listed in ifconfig and not the one defined with IPV6ADDR) Thanks, Walter

{centos 6} errors in libvirtd, all sites down, need advice

Today out of the blue...boom all sites down. I use a bridge and virtual machines, 5 websites. virsh shows me all machines are up and running, everything looks okay, but cannot get to sites. Hello Guys, while im testing a AMD Radeon RX 480 i was up on my centos 7. To get the card realy work, I upgrade my repros: Drivers: [cms4all-drivers] name=cms4all-drivers baseurl=http://centos.cms4all.org/repo/7/drivers/ gpgcheck=0 enabled=1 libdrm -> 2.4.81 libav -> 1.8.2 libav-utils -> 1.8.2 xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.917-21.20170418 xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-1.0.15-1 xorg-x11-drv-ati-7.9.0 xorg-x11-drv-amdgpu-1.3.0 ATI and AMDGPU works here, intel stays out here for test. Mesa: [cms4all-mesa] name=cms4all-mesa baseurl=http://centos.cms4all.org/repo/7/mesa/ #baseurl=file:///srv/repo/centos/7/mesa gpgcheck=0 enabled=1 Mesa3D, needs drivers because of libdrm 2.4.81 Mesa 17.1.1 Add downgrade patch zlib 2.8 -> 2.7 Add mesa-vaapi as separate package, still problmes with video out on centos, remove gstreamer1-vaapi to get my videos working. No problem on other distro (not Fedora). There is a hughe difference gstreamer 1.8 Gnome 3.24. Kernel: [cms4all-kernel] name=cms4all-kernel baseurl=http://centos.cms4all.org/repo/7/kernel/ gpgcheck=0 enabled=1 kernel 4.11.3 Same as elrpo, but add functions to amdgpu and radeon. Low random entropy

I am use to low random entropy on my arm boards, not an intel. On my Lenovo x120e, cat /proc/sys/kernel/random/entropy_avail reports 3190 bits of entropy. On my armv7 with Centos7 I would get 130 unless I installed rng-tools and then I get ~1300. SSH into one and it drops back to 30! for a few minutes. Sigh. Anyway on my new Zotac nano ad12 with an AMD E-1800 duo core, I am seeing 180. I installed rng-tools and no change. Does anyone here know how to improve the random entropy? thanks

Ovirt Hosted-Engine VM iptables

Hi I would like to add rules into the iptables of the Hosted Engine VM in Ovirt. the version is oVirt Engine Version: 4.1.1.8-1.el7.centos I have tried using the normal process for iptables (iptables-save etc), but it seems that the file /etc/sysconfig/iptables this is ignored in the Ovirt Engine VM. How can I add permanent rules into the Engine VM? Kind regards Andrew

CentOS 6 dhcpd custom log issues

Hi all, I've got an issue with C6's dhcpd custom logging that I cannot figure out. Hopefully someone has an idea, or has seen a similar issue. We have dhcpd logging to /var/log/messages a custom header (DHCPUSER:) with MAC, IP and Circuit-ID. I'll not bore you with the guts, so here's the beginning of that line in dhcpd.conf: if exists agent.circuit-id { log (info, concat( "DHCPUSER:,", concat (suffix (concat ("0", binary-to-ascii..... We log this specifically to have rsyslog dump that line (keyed on DHCPUSER) into a MySQL database for use by a web app our development team built so that our customers can get reports on their DHCP leases. (Neonova provides help desk, engineering and Tier 2 and 3 tech support to rural ISPs in the US.) Our problem is that this method logs every entry that has the CID in the packet. Which covers most DHCP requests. As such, with our bigger customers, this logging bogs down MySQL (and the file system on older ext3 based CentOS 6 boxes we have out in the field) to the point where, after a major outage and recovery, the DHCP server can't handle the load and people are unable to get new DHCP leases, resulting in calls to our help desk. What I want to do is have this data logged in the DHCPUSER line on the DHCPACK and only that. For some reason, when I try replace the above with 'if option dhcp-message-type = 5', nothing is getting logged. All the instances of this I've googled have similar, notably one from ~2008 that has: if exists agent.circuit-id and dhcp-message-type = 3 and that apparently worked fine. I know the circuit-id is included in the ACK packet (tcpdump is your friend), but even on the check to log for only the dhcp message type 5 isn't working. Are the newer dhcpd versions different syntactically? What's the correct method for logging on the DCHP Message type with the most recent C6 version?
