Problems with VPN Connection

I dd'd the latest Fedora Live iso onto a USB drive, put it into a brand spanking new Dell Latitude E7470, hit F12 at Dell logo and got "Selected boot device failed". I added my user to a group last week, and now the user isn't in the group

Hello everyone, I added my user account to a group called "www-pub" for easier manipulations on web files on my server. And today I found that my account was not in the group "www-pub" any longer..... What I did to add my account to the group is like "sudo usermod -a -G www-pub myaccount". Is there anything wrong? Hi I've created a couple of new public yum repos suitable for CentOS 7: ergel (Extra Ruby Gems for Enterprise Linux) repo: https://harbottle.gitlab.io/ergel/7/x86_64/ homepage: https://gitlab.com/harbottle/ergel epmel (Extra Perl Modules for Enterprise Linux) repo: https://harbottle.gitlab.io/epmel/7/x86_64/ homepage: https://gitlab.com/harbottle/epmel The repos are designed to work in conjunction with EPEL, so you will need this installed first and they should be "safe" (they don't upgrade packages in base). Seriously, get a really good book on doing sysadmin work. 10 years ago, I was recommending O'Reilly's one, "Essential Systems Administration", by Aeleen Frisch. photos on iPhone 6

A bit of a perennial I'm afraid. My wife has filled up her iPhone 6 with photos, and wants them moved onto my computer. I'm running CentOS 7 patched about 30 minutes ago. Needless to say the computer can't see the data on the iPhone, though it does recognise the phone as an iPhone. VM disk question

I have VMPlayer 12 running a CentOS 7 disk. Works fine. However I wish to change the disk from UUID booting (fstab) to the old style LABEL. (so I can export it and use on another machine). fdisk -l /dev/sda Disk /dev/sda: 21.5 GB, 21474836480 bytes, 41943040 sectors Units = sectors of 1 * 512 = 512 bytes Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes Disk label type: dos Disk identifier: 0x0001c6d3 Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 * 2048 20482047 10240000 83 Linux /dev/sda2 20482048 22530047 1024000 82 Linux swap / Solaris /dev/sda3 22530048 41943039 9706496 83 Linux however when I run: e2label /dev/sda1 / e2label: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/sda1 Couldn't find valid filesystem superblock. Three questions: 1) Am I doing something wrong? 2) Is there a better way? 3) How do I support VM formats (VBox, VHD and VMWare) easily? Thanks, Jerry
