Installing 32-bit CentOS 6 on a new Lenovo System x3650 M5 server?

Is there any known incompatibility with the latest 32-bit (i386) CentOS 6 and the latest Lenovo x3650 M5 servers? I’ve been running i386 CentOS 6.X on 3 year old x3650 M4 servers without any issues. Our development environment has not been ported to 64-bit (x86_64) yet, so we are stuck using i386 for another few months. When I try to boot from the netinstall ISO image I just get a “Boot Failed” message. Has anyone had similar issues, and more importantly, figured out a way to workaround it? Alfred

Hi, CentOS Linux release 7.2.1511 quagga-0.99.22.4-4.el7.x86_64 When I start bgpd and have many routes in the server, I can not connect via ssh In /var/log/messages I see: sshd[21096]: segfault at 7ffefb51eff8 ip 00007f244a690969 sp 00007ffefb51f000 error 6 in libc-2.17.so[7f244a614000+1b7000] If I stop bgpd service, routes disappear and I can connect via ssh without problems. Can anybody help me? Thanks

one-shot yum command to match rpms between systems?

Hi, we see a growing need for a better Configuration management for our servers. Are there any known good resources for a comparison of e.g. Puppet, Chef, Ansible etc? What would you suggest and why? :) Thanks and Regards . Götz

Inconsistancy in RAID documentation

On the wiki page for creating a mirrored root drive, at <https://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Install_On_Partitionable_RAID1>, it first tells you, in the install, to chose manual partitioning, and to leave at least 1M at the end of the drive.... and then it tells you to create the RAID 1 using /dev/sda and /dev/sdb - the *whole* raw drives. mark, currently creating a RAID 1 using just the raw drives, no partitions

Hello, just curious; since March 3rd, 2016 everdays logwatch-mail shows this: Last Status: WARNING: Your ClamAV installation is OUTDATED! WARNING: Local version: 0.99 Recommended version: 0.99.1 on May 4th, 2016 I updated clamav by yum update clamav since then the daily logwatch-mail shows this: Last Status: WARNING: Your ClamAV installation is OUTDATED! WARNING: Local version: 0.99.1 Recommended version: 0.99.2 I guess, that it happened accidentally, that I just updated the day before ClamAV did a bigger change; as I had tried 'yum update clamav' several times before; do these warnings raise any problems? could they be suppressed?
