In particular, we discovered that it was fixed on May 21, 2013 (between the releases of glibc-2.17 and glibc-2.18). Apache and SSLv3

Hi list, I'm configuring apache with https and I've a question about sslv3 deactivation. Running "openssl ciphers -v" I get a list of cypher suite of openssl like: ECDH-RSA-AES128-GCM-SHA256 TLSv1.2 Kx=ECDH/RSA Au=ECDH Enc=AESGCM(128) Mac=AEAD ......... Each lines report relative protocol. Disabling sslv3 with "SSLProtocol all -SSLv3" I can use cypher like: ECDH-RSA-DES-CBC3-SHA SSLv3 Kx=ECDH/RSA Au=ECDH Enc=3DES(168) Mac=SHA1 that has protocol SSLv3? Disabling SSLv3 protocol, apache will use only TLSv1.2 cypher protocol? Thanks in advance. Alessandro.

CentOS 6.6 and webcams

The issue of webcams not working with recent kernels on CentOS 6.6 has come up a number of times on the list. I'm happy to report that the latest kernel (2.6.32-504.8.1) appears to have fixed the problem. However, disabling NoScript for YouTube does not change the observed behaviour. It is decidedly odd in that the Flash video will not play until one sets the enable html5 option in YouTube. One of the artifacts of switching the html5 on in YT is that upon returning to the video page the video canvas shows an error message, with the 'Try again later' tag. But simply clicking on the video frame a second time starts the video. I am not sure what is going on. I have discovered that the same approach (switching on html5 in YouTube) has solved this issue for a least one of the impacted users. I will try it on others as the occasion permits. How To Record Sound Being Played

Hey all, I've installed MuseScore on my C6.6 machine. MuseScore is able to generate a midi sounding playback through the speakers of the active score. I want to capture that sound directly to a file without using a microphone. I want to send individual sound files to each of the members of my quartet with their part only. Is anyone using C7 in production yet? (sssd, nss-pam-ldapd, kerberos, etc)

Hi all, Is anyone using C7 in production with LDAP and kerberos? Currently all of my machines run C5 or C6 with nss-pam-ldapd or nss_ldap, with kerberos and pam_krb5 for authentication. Before I fire up a test VM (is it even worth it?) I wanted to check feedback from the community. Cheers! Dan

VLAN issue

Hello all, I have a machine running Centos 6.6 connected to a port on a Cisco Catalyst 3750 series switch. That port is part of VLAN 48. I have VLAN 48 on the CentOS machine too. The IP network on VLAN 48 is 192.168.48.0/255.255.255.0. The address on the CentOS side is 192.168.48.101, the address on the Linux end ought to be 192.168.48.100. When I only bring up eth0.48 VLAN device with the IP=192.168.48.100 I have no connectivity. If I bring it up along with eth0 with another VLAN 48 address assigned to it (for instance, 192.168.48.99) I do have connectivity. Also, strangely enough, sometimes to get things going I have to disconnect the Linux host from the switch - physically detach the wire and reconnect it again. Be that as it may when I just bring up the VLAN by itself I have thus far been unable to get anywhere. Has anybody seen a situation like this? Does anybody have an explaination for it? Thanks. Centos 7 | Rebind ctrl + alt + f# keystroke to application

Hello, I am new to Centos and this mailing list. I have an application (IntelliJ IDEA) which uses the ctrl+alt+f# key combinations to provide shortcuts. The keystrokes are bind to the ttys virtual consoles. Is there anyway to rebind the keystrokes to the application? I tried the following solution (xorg.conf edit) but my PC freezes during boot process. I had to rollback the xorg.conf changes to get the GNOME session.
