How to build scl python-setuptools from src.rpm?

Hi all. sorry for my english, I'm from Ukraine. so, i build http://dev.centos.org/centos/6/SCL/SRPMS/python27-1-10.el6.centos.alt.src.r…, then http://dev.centos.org/centos/6/SCL/SRPMS/python27-python-2.7.5-7.el6.centos…<http://dev.centos.org/centos/6/SCL/SRPMS/python27-python-2.7.5-7.el6.centos…>and when try to build http://dev.centos.org/centos/6/SCL/SRPMS/python27-python-setuptools-0.6.28-…<http://dev.centos.org/centos/6/SCL/SRPMS/python27-python-setuptools-0.6.28-…>it failed. build.log and root.log is in attachment. Help me please, what i do not right?

Problems with gvim 7.4 under CentOS6.5

Compiling vim 7.4 as described by vim works fine, but calling gvim/vim results in a segmentation fault in CentOS6.5. Debugging with gdb points to a problem with strncmp(). Even compiling gvim 7.3 does not work. How to resolve this issue? Would be great if somebody could help. Thanks Christoph

Not so much...and hpacucli is actively user hostile. I finally connected and woke up the box (and who, in their right minds, puts the power on button on a rackmount RAID box in the *back* of the box?), and I'm trying to create one large RAID 6. But... ctrl slot=3 show config is incredibly bizarre. It shows me my physical drives... but starts at 9, and for everything up to 18, shows two of the same port (2E:1:xx), then the rest only once. So I created the raid, using a range, and telling it to leave the last drive. That seemed to work, and I added that one as a spare, it looked ok... except it's telling me that 11-18 are unassigned... even though what shows as in the array are all in there twice, up through 18, as before. Does anyone understand this behavior? mark

Dual Band Wireless

Hi, Because of heavy interference in the 2.5GHz range in my neighbourhood, I want to switch to wireless dual band (5GHZ) and wireless ac. Do you have any suggestions for USB wireless adapters for CentOS 6.5 that work with dual band and ac? Also, if you have any suggestions on wireless routers for these bands I would like to hear about them. Thank you, Joe

Upgrading to CentOS 6

I recently built a CentOS 6 system as my main machine at home. With a bit of help from members of this list, it is now working better than the machine it replaced (RIP). The new machine works so well, that I would like to convert some CentOS 5 machines to CentOS6. I did some research on the web and the new install is still considered the proper way to upgrade CentOS. Same as Fedora and RHEL. The question becomes, "What makes the Ubuntu developers so clever that they can do major upgrades through their apt based update system?" There must be some sort of gotcha or tradeoff involved in allowing this. Does anyone have any insights on why they can get away with this while CentOS cannot?
