MySQL Can't create file '/tmp/#sql2e0_98_0.frm' (errno: 9) problem

Hi. I have a strange problem. I installed cacti, and set it up. When I click on the Plugins Management, I noticed Error "FATAL: Database or Table does not exist" Further testing revealed that at the moment MySQL can not create temporary files in /tmp. It is same for ANY database! SELinux is disabled. I logged to mysql as root and error is same. Command used is: CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE IF NOT EXISTS plugin_temp_table LIKE bak_menu; Error is: ERROR 1004 (HY000): Can't create file '/tmp/#sql21f8_f3_0.frm' (errno: 9) What could be the problem, any idea how to proceed? OpenDJ - and Centos Auth

All, I have a working OpenDJ with SSL enabled and have also added users to it.... Now, I am unable to authenticate my linux box to OpenDJ LDAP server, either from login prompt or ssh... I understand sssd is the latest program which does this configuration and I have that configured... though there is lot of howtos which google get, still there is clear documentation that I can find to perform the auth.. Please help Regards G

Centos 5.10 Firefox 24.3.0 HTML OL

Firefox used to render <ol type="a"> <li>.................</li> as a. ............... Now it does not. The HTML 4.1 spec at http://www.w3.org/TR/html401/struct/lists.html#type-values says use CSS instead. These <ol type="a"> <ol type="A"> <ol type="i"> used to work in the Centos 5 supplied Firefox. Now OL produce digits instead. http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_ol_type.asp states "Differences Between HTML 4.01 and HTML5 The type attribute of the <ol> element is no longer deprecated in HTML5." If something is "deprecated" it is supposed to work until it is withdrawn or cancelled. Is Firefox's inability to render <ol type="a"> a bug or a very annoying irritation especially as I have hundreds of hand-coded pages using it ? :-( -- Paul. England, EU. The latest version seems to have a bug. One of my users went to look at a paper in Phy Rev E, and the firefox pdf view looked fine... but what printed had garbage for scales on the graphs. Then I had him use the firefox print preview... and it was garbage. Looked at it on my system, ditto, and firefox was updated yesterday on all our systems. Save as (why isn't there an "open"?) a .pdf, pull it up in acroread, and print, and everything's fine. mark

Perl516 SCL modules

Hi, I'm trying to build several SCL perl516 modules for using assp spamfilter. Some modules have dependencies which spend a lot of errors or can not be build on a x86_64 system. perl-Email-Valid-0.184 for example needs Win32::IPHelper and Win32::TieRegistry. If I build this rpm for standard perl510, the Win32 modules are not required. Why are theses dependencies only for perl516? Can I exclude the Win32 modules without getting problems? Does anyone have a few tips? Thanks in advance! Kind regards, Nicole

Where to get Sernet-Samba4 questions answered?

Not wanting to build Samba4 myself I spent some time searching for rpm packages suitable for use on our CentOS-6.5 hosts. I discovered http://enterprisesamba.com/ which provides rpms (sernet-samba-4.1.4-7) for CentOS-6. However, I cannot find an online support community for this package and requests for help made to the samba.org list have met with absolute silence. Since my requests had to do with uncaught exceptions with stack traces and PANICs in samba-tools I can only infer from the silence that that list does not handle support enquires from anyone that does not build their own Samba4 from source. I have been to sernet.de which builds the rpms and the site is in German, a language I have not used in over twenty years and which I never read very well. It refers to EnterpriseSamba.com but that site in turn provides no reference to an online support community of users. So, I need help and I need some guidance as to where to go get it. Does anyone here use the same packages for their Samba setups? Does anyone know of an online support group for users of this particular package? -- *** E-Mail is NOT a SECURE channel *** James B.
