I am unable to find my windows share in ~/.gvfs

Hello All, I am facing a strange issue, I use eclipse and I was using Ubuntu earlier, Now I am trying with Centos. As in my Ubuntu i Can find my share in ~/.gvfs. but now I am unable to locate the same in Centos(release 6.5 Final). I have also checked /var/run/ and I dont have /run in my system So can some one please help me how can i get it in Centos. Actually I can access shares by using Connect to (GUI) but these share are not shown when i want to open my workspace from eclipse. Thanks & Regards, Anant Saraswat

Hola a todos: Yo quiero cambiar el nombre de mi host, pero sin reiniciar el sistema 1) edite el archivo /etc/sysconfig/network HOSTNAME=name_hostname 2) edite /etc/hosts 192.168.x.x name_hostname Se que al reiniciar cambia el nombre, pero mi idea es no reiniciar el server. se puede??? gracias

Repodata filename problem in CentOS-6.5-x86_64-bin-DVD1.iso ?

During installation, after the partitioning stage, anaconda logs an error trying to access the file repodata/0dafccfdbf892f02acca8267ade4bdcee7280a682e65dc7e29145f3341fd7a8c-primary.sqlite.bz2 checking the USB drive as well as the downloaded ISO shows that the file is named repodata/0dafccfdbf892f02acca8267ade4bdcee7280a682e65dc7e29145f3341fd7a8c It seems that the filenames are truncated after the first dash e.g. b4e0b9342ef85d3059ff095fa7f140f654c2cb492837de689a58c581207d9632 should be b4e0b9342ef85d3059ff095fa7f140f654c2cb492837de689a58c581207d9632-c6-x86_64-comps.xml Renaming the files on the USB drive according to the information in repodata/TRANS.TBL appear to fix the problem and anaconda was able to proceed to package selection. The DVD ISO checksum is correct. I also compared the checksum files from another server in case the mirror I used had an outdated/bad version. Is the problem with the ISO, or is anaconda supposed to had figured out the filename based on TRANS.TBL but not doing so. The problem originally started with a C6.4 install but I've wiped that ISO so am unable to verify if the cause is the same.

EPEL problem

Hi, all. I'm trying to install the EPEL repo on a fully up to date CentOS 6.4. I'm using wget to download from my usual source but after I install it via `sudo rpm -ivh epel-xxxxx` it's not actually there in `/etc/yum.repos.d`. Trying to install it again, Yum just tells me it's already installed. I've no idea where it is installed if it is (which I don't think it is) so I'm stumped. Any help appreciated. Both C6 and C5's /etc/php.ini have disable_functions = Neither C5 nor C6 /etc/php.ini have your list of dangerous PHP functions. One wonders why not, if they are so dangerous. 2. In your list you have 'mail' which I consider an essential PHP command in a production environment. 3. I'm willing to add your suggestions to php.ini except for three. 4. Permissions for LAMP

I am running a Lamp server on a CentOS 6.5 box. It works fine, I am concerned that I may have the wrong file/dir permissions. The directories /var and /var/www are root:root and 755. For /var/www/html and all directories underneath I have apache:apache and 770. For all files under /var/www/html I have apache:apache and 660. Are these these permissions OK? Thank you, Joe

I wasn't paying much attention, but I remember a day or two ago, someone was complaining about python updates. From the RH alerts... <snip> This update fixes the following bug: * Previously, the dependencies between the Python subpackages were set erroneously and caused problems with the inclusion of i686 multilib packages in the x86_64 channels. After this update, the dependencies have been resolved and the Python packages install as expected. (BZ#1033111) All users of python are advised to upgrade to these updated packages, which fix this bug. --- which I think was explicitly the problem.... mark
