SAMBA update appears to have breoken WinShare connectivity

We have a very old MS-Windows domain running on a Win2K advanced server. After the most recent update to Samba it appears that we can no longer connect to shares on that system from our CentOS-6.4 workstations. Is this a known problem or configuration issue that we need to address through local modifications or do we have to roll back to the older version to regain connectivity? How to use watchdog daemon with hardware watchdog driver interface?

Good morning! On a CentOS 6.4 / 64 bit server I have installed the watchdog 5.5 package. The rpm -qi watchdog states: The watchdog program can be used as a powerful software watchdog daemon or may be alternately used with a hardware watchdog device such as the IPMI hardware watchdog driver interface to a resident Baseboard Management Controller (BMC). ... This configuration file is also used to set the watchdog to be used as a hardware watchdog instead of its default software watchdog operation. I downloaded dwm and installed - all is fine. The manual says Once installed, add to your $HOME/.xinitrc exec dwm and it should start when you run startx. I did that - if I run startx this works... however - if I am running X from /etc/inittab how do I start up dwm ? Thanks, Jerry

Hi, I purchased a VPS with OpenVZ with infrastructure installed Centos 6.4 64bit. When I configure OpenVPN for remote access I can not because I do not get loaded into the interface modules tun / tap from console: #cat /dev/net/tun cat: /dev/net/tun: No such file or directory #lsmod | grep tun # # uname -r 2.6.32-042stab079.6 I have to ask for support to those who sold the VPS or can I fix myself? Greetings, I am trying to follos the procedure as outlined in: http://smorgasbork.com/component/content/article/35-linux/128-building-a-cu… I am using Cendos minimal ISO to build a custom installer and Live CD (with addition of NTP, samba and some custom application with dependencies) According to the above link: "In RHEL/CentOS 6, this file is no longer called just "comps.xml"; instead, it has some horrendous hex string for a name. In CentOS 6.2, it is named bedb7dc8fdf920deffbdc5a70ea0d6d77255656556184f5e996e8a88a63d145c-c6-x86_64-comps.xml.gz. " Indeed horrendeous file. I am not able find the *comps.xml. What should I do and where would I find it. Else what is the method for pacakaging (Centos 6.4 minimal + some custom app rpms + custom configs) ? -- Regards, Rajagopal
