Make sshd log IP addresses, not hostnames

Can I adjust the ssh daemon to log IP addresses instead of hostnames? I assume this situation is feasible... * 10.10.10.10 attempts to ssh to the server * reverse dns resolves to "somehost.domain.com" * ssh daemon logs "somehost.domain.com" in messages * foward dns on "somehost.domain.com" resolves to 10.10.10.20 Thus it causes some of my scripts a problem if the DNS resolutions don't match. It would be nice if it could just log IP addresses only. Thanks, Scott

Program to ban sniffers

So I have been reading the ssh attack thread and finally want to ask about something. I doubt there is a program like this, but I would love to have a program that listens at common ports that I do not use at all...and only allow that program to listen to it, especially the usual ssh port (using a different one for real ssh)... That program would then, upon receiving a 'sniff' or 'user' would then add that ip to the deny hosts lists..for either a long or short time. Using this would seem like a win as you can easily grab someone before they can get somewhere one hopes. Also, by opening up a few other ports that are unusual like 8561....well, if someone sniffs that it could be a 3 day ban or a month... In other words, anyone hitting those ports that are not being used at all except by our sniff protector, would allow instant banning. So...does something like this exist?

Need to rebuild installation CD

Hi All, I would be lying if I said I am a newbie, but I am rusty so please bear with me. I am looking for a how-to for Redhat or Centos to remake the installation CD. First let me explain: I have an installation disc supplied to me, with centos 5.2 which has kickstart, post and pre installation scripts which run. The problem we have is that the CD does not support our CDROM (it8213). I have managed to compile the driver from the sources, and I have a boot stiffy. So I have managed to load the server, the problem is that we need to load about 10 of these server every week and the Linux guru (me) is not always able to drop his work and load servers. I need to implement the driver on the installation CD so that the kickstart file is read and run Is there a way to hack around this problem? Can anyone guide me through this process or give me a work around please. Filesystem backup?

Hi all. I'm currently having a following problem: I have only ssh connection to a CentOS 5.2 system, there are two harddiscs on it. One stores the system (/ filesystem) and the other should be used to help restore the system in case of first disks' failure. I thought that maybe dump would be a good utility to make it. But in only works on read-only filesystems. In one article I've read that making a snapshot of the / filesystem (then it wouldbe read-only) and backing it could help. But aren't snapshots limited to logical volumes (LVM)? My friend told me to use rsync to back up the entire / filesystem to the second disk and then in case o failure the system from the copy should boot ok. Could anyone provide any suggestions? I don't have physical contact with the machine so for example RAID 1 isn't a possible option/ Any help will be very kindly appreciated. With regards, R.

Wifi connection finally solved

After a year or so of trying to get wifi-cards of various brands and chipsets to work, today it finally happened! I got my 3com 3CRPAG175 to jump to it and connect to the department WPA2 AP! I wouldn't have done it without your help. Thanks all! startx problem

Dear All, I have recently upgraded mu centos 5 final to centos 5.3 using yum update i have the following setup which was running on centos 5 old server is centos os 5 now centos 3 with all the utilitlies Mailscanner 4.6 clam av 0.92 + spam assassin 3.1 mailwatch 1.04 after running yum server upgraded to centos 5.3 and download and installed latest mail scanner and clamav+ spam assassin centos 5.3 mailscanner 4.77 latest clamav+SA jules package now i see that system works fine but when i try run startx after loggin in the display jus hangs n system freezes only i can hard reset it i tried to see the /var/logs/Xorg.0.log but no much information when i run system config display my display card is detected n it works fine apprecite if someone can advice n help regards fabian -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.

gtk+-2 and centos 5

I'm a bit confused about how to compile somethingon Centos 5 that's looking for gtk +-2. ./configure errors out with this message: checking for GTK+ - version >= 2.4.0... no *** Could not run GTK+ test program, checking why... *** The test program failed to compile or link. See the file config.log for the *** exact error that occured. This usually means GTK+ is incorrectly installed. configure: error: Cannot find GTK2 The best information I could find on Google tells me this: "Edit the script file , it is looking for gtk+-2 while you have gtk2 installed." That's nice, but how? I edited the "configure" script and changed all references to read gtk2 and that did me no good at all. Postfix question: How to reject email with a certain subject header

Hello everyone, Occasionally I get emails which have a subject header of "Rejected posting to Blah", from a listserv I am on. Without going into a 10 page diatribe of why, I'd like to reject these automatically, sending them to /dev/null. I used to run Sendmail and that was pretty easy to do. How can I do this under Postfix under CentOS 5.3? Any help is appreciated. Thanks! usb issue on my motherboard

I have found this http://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=10913 I am running that motherboard with 2.6.18-128.1.10 x86_64 and I have the USB issues. I dont really want to use a later kernel for a couple reasons one being the ATI Catalyst drivers dont work on later kernels (I tried on another machine). Is there a way to take 2.6.30 (just since its the current version)usb/host directory and compile it as a module for the 2.6.18-128.1.10 kernel and just replace the ehci_hcd driver? I extraced the 2.6.30 kernel, and was hoping to just cd drivers/usb/host and make. It says no tarkets found. How can I do that? THanks, I just want to compile the module. Jerry

Time to sync (NOT a complaint)

Is anyone else seeing this situation? I subscribe to the announce digest, and for the last four or five announcements that contained updates to CentOS 5, I've been unable to get a successful run of yum update for as much as 24 hours after the announcement. The last time around, I tried at about 5 hours after the posting, and yum couldn't see anything. I ran yum clean all, and yum update still couldn't see anything. In general, if I wait a day, the updates load just fine, but that just feels wrong. I do have the fastestmirror plugin installed (and priorities). Thanks. mhr

One of my servers crashed, need help

Hello all, I just installed a new beta kernel from Dzickus over at redhat. Rebooting causes this, no matter what kernel I boot from: EXT3-fs error: device dm-0: ext3_check_descriptors: Block bitmap for group 5008 not in group (block 167772160)! EXT3-fs: group dexcriptors corrupted! Which external WiFi device for laptop running CentOS 5.3?

Have decided to give up on the embedded Broadcom 4312 wireless device in my son's Dell laptop. I get WEP open authentication to work, but nothing else. I was about to dump the bcm43xx kernel module and the bcm43xx-microcode5.fw firmware and work with the newer b43 module and associated firmware. However, he claims that at school, he has always had intermittent problems with wireless under Vista and wants an external device (USB or PCMCIA). So...if you had a clean slate, which make & model would you buy for mindlessly easy installation and use under CentOS 5.3? Dave

yum update bug with disk requirement calculation?

I just updated my machine from CentOS 5.2 to 5.3 and noticed an oddity. The update required around 280Mb of disk space. I had over 500Mb of free space on root. And... the update failed with "need more space" errors. Now I can understand this; normally it would fetch the files from a http server, so the worst-case requirements are double (or more) than the download size reported by yum. EXCEPT these files were being served from an NFS server, and so were never copied local to the machine. Eventually I manually installed a few smaller packages and managed to get the space test passed. During the transaction I monitored free disk space in another window, and it never went below 300Mb free. Bizarre. -- rgds Stephen

Other than coding something yourself...does Cent OS come with any kind of portal application(s) that would allow remote users to purchase a domain name through me or log in and edit their domains settings and go active in my DNS? Has anyone set anything like this up before using Cent OS? The closest thing I can think of is a Register.com, GoDaddy.com, or Load.com type interface that customers can do it all from one HUD-type interface. Where I have marked with a comment, the script stops with the error- : bad substitution I have looked on-line but I don't quite understand how I can correct this? I have seen other people have this error for other problems but not one like mine so I don't fully understand it? Can anyone explain to me exactly what is going wrong and how I might correct it? suggestions for installing CentOS 5 via USB?

I'm having problems installing CentOS via a USB drive. First, I tried using Unetbootin, but with no avail. The 8MB netinstall doesn't work, and the big DVD image doesn't work either. http://lubi.sourceforge.net/unetbootin.html Then I tried this http://www.pendrivelinux.com/usb-centos-5-live-install-via-windows/ with a CentOS DVD file, and that did not work (just hangs). I tried to use the live cd, but then found out that I cannot install the OS with the live cd (like you can with Ubuntu). NAS Storage server question

Hello all, At our office a have a server running 3 Xen domains. Mail server, etc. I want to make this setup more redundant. There are a few howtos on the combination of Xen, DRBD, and heartbeat. That is probably the best way. Another option I am looking at is a piece of shared storage, a machine running CentOS with a large software RAID 5 array. What is the best means of sharing the storage? I would really like to use a combination of an iSCSI target server, and GFS or OCFS. But the iSCSI target server in the CentOS repos is a 'technology preview' Have any of you used the iSCSI target server in a production environment yet? Is NFS and option? PERC6 driver on CENTOS 5.3

We have DELL R900 server with PERC6/i and PERC 6/E in it. O.S. is CENTOS 5.3. I download latest PERC 6 driver from DELL site and tried to installed it. I have error messages said : Module version 00.00.03.21 for megaraid_sas.ko is not newer than what is already found in kernel 2.6.18-128.1.10.el5 (00.00.04.01-RH1). Does CENTOS 5.3 come with PERC6 driver? I knew in CENTOS 4.X PERC 5 or PERC6 driver is not include. intel nic vanished with 5.3

Hi I have boxes with a quad card that shows up with e1000 e1000_probe: Intel(R) PRO/1000 Network Connection However since rebuilding a box from 4.7 to 5.3 this card has vanished - I would have thought this card is pretty generic so i dont believe there are not drivers for it - Any other thoughts? It does not show up at all in messages etc, and ethtool knows nothing of it either. thanks

Hello, I tried to make an automatic install bootable CD, with a kickstart file. I use this command to create my CD : sudo mkisofs -v -r -T -b isolinux/isolinux.bin -c isolinux/boot.cat -J -o InstallCD.iso -no-emul-boot -boot-load-size 4 -boot-info-table -hide-rr-moved . I copied all the contents of the CD #1, on a InstallCD dir, on copied my ks.cfg file into the isolinux directory. CIFS Issue When Copying Large/Many Files From CentOS To Remote Windows 2003 Server Share

My first post to the list, hope the community can help me, I am having a problem with CIFS:VFS. I am trying to write large files (and a lot of files) from my Cent OS 5.3 server to a remote Windows 2003 Server share. It appears there might be some incompatibilities between how the two OS's individually implement CIFS, maybe. I automount the remote share via /etc/fstab and have the /mnt/remotewinservershare built. Everything is setup and seems to work properly but during the large file transfer (at intermittent times) the Linux Kernel seems to panic and the CIFS connection seems to fail as a result since CIFS happens at the Kernel level, returning errors. Although when I cd the /mnt/remotewinservershare dir, or ls /mnt the mount is there is I can manually cp to it with absolutely no problems. My /etc/fstab line is: //10.100.101.205/share /mnt/remotewinservershare cifs username=MYUSER,pass=MYPASSWD 0 0 The CIFS errors returned are: WARNING: Kernel Errors Present CIFS VFS: Error -4 sending data ...: 103 Time(s) CIFS VFS: Unexpected lookup error -112 ...: 2 Time(s) CIFS VFS: Error -4 sending data ...: 380 Time(s) I have seen in various online forums people have run into this since 2004 and posts in 2007 have gone unanswered. Seems to be isolated to Cent OS trying to CIFS to a Windows 2003 Server when transferring large or many files (and does so intermittently). Has anyone has hit this before and been able to fix this please share how you worked around it or fixed it. It is important for me to be able to have a stable CIFS connection to this remote Windows Server 2003 server, and we know we are not getting a look at the Windows kernel. Big Thanks LK

Is there a simple way to strip out what I assume is a header that asks for a receipt that the message was delivered? I never like to send such receipts, and they are annoying. It mostly happens on a couple lists I'm on (not this one) - I don't just want it for myself, I may be setting up a list soon and if soon, would want to strip such requests out of the message before the list server sends it to the list.

Hello I have this problem: I make my own php rpms, base on src.rpm from CentOS but with my patches (more options included). I have built it on my machine originally but now I want make it in mock environment. I solved almost everything but Firebird support for 64bit arch. Original RPM from http://www.firebirdsql.org/ are made with amd64 arch but my php is x86_64. And I don't know how to solve it. .src.rpm for FirebirdSS and/or FirebirdCS is on available. Rsync, SSH and authorized_keys problem

Hi, I'm trying to backup from one machine to the other (automatically via cron) using rsync and ssh password-less public key authentication. I having been trying to set this up following an article in a Linux magazine[1] by only allowing the specific rsync command to run on the remote box. I am using the following rsync command: $ rsync -avz -e "ssh -i ~/.ssh/backup-key" /backup stewart@name.of.remote.server:/backup This runs, connects using keys asking for no password and completes successfully until I add the above command to my authorized_keys file on the remote box: command="rsync -avz -e "ssh -i ~/.ssh/backup-key" /backup stewart@name.of.remote.server:/backup" ssh-dss ... key ... The client then says it cannot find the key, so the connection fails. Is it because it's trying to find the private key in the ~/.ssh directory on the remote box? Is the article wrong? Anyone here familiar with Cyrus IMAP and its util ipurge? We'd like to set auto deletion of our users' spambox folders, but I'm a bit paranoid about its functionality. The main things that confuse me are from the man page: "Ipurge deletes messages from the mailbox(es) specified by mailbox-pattern" with no indication as to what defines "mailbox-pattern" Second: "Ipurge by default only deletes mail below shared folders, which means that mails in mail- box(es) below INBOX.* and user.* stay untouched. Use the option -f to also delete mail in mailbox(es) below these folders." What's a "shared folder"? OK, so the format of a Junk mail folder is: user/spiro/Junk(a)knossos.net.nz and I've successfully done: $ ipurge -f -d 90 user/spiro/Junk(a)knossos.net.nz Working on user/spiro/Junk(a)knossos.net.nz... total messages 21 total bytes 187742 Deleted messages 16 Deleted bytes 138324 Remaining messages 5 Remaining bytes 49418 however, without the -f, it did nothing, even though I was explicitly supplying a folder. Clearly I misunderstand what the man page is trying to tell me. I'd like to set up a proper "pattern" to purge all spamboxes correctly via the cyrus.conf, because at the moment, I've got an awk script that generates a list of email addresses and produces a list in the format of user/userid/Junk@domain. I could then go over that list and run an ipurge for each one, but if anything happens that causes that list to be corrupted, I'm afraid of deleting the wrong mail. or worse. :( according to what I've gathered, the line: purgespam cmd="ipurge -f -d 90 user/%/Junk@*" at=0430 should work when put in cyrus.conf's Events section, but I can't confirm these wildcards. Some results on google just refer to * for the mailbox name, but none seem to include the domain as part of the string. In actual practice you may seldom see any issues with this, but the error messages will appear for some users trying to access different things.... Also, if you have stuff like logwatch or other system things going to a local mail make sure spamassassin or procmail rules are updated to deal with the change in localhost.localdomain so they are not junked. Always make sure the normal things you are used to are still happening or being received after you change the hostname....many things can be affected, slightly or more, when doing it. Nothing usually server breaking. This should do you well

Hi, I would like to spend some time learning a new coding language, but specifically for server side admin stuff, i.e. setting up users / databases / FTP accounts / virtual domains on Apache, etc. I already know PHP, but realize it's not quite suited for this kind of admin, and I suppose I need to look @ PERL / Python / C++ / Ruby? / others? Can someone give me some pointers on this? Xen with multiple virtual network interfaces with one bond

If i change eth0 in the above script to bond0 it messes up the bond completely and stops working. However, I would still like to automate keeping them up to date for security fixes. So, is there any way to swap out the Yum/up2date RHEL repositories for CentOS without breaking things? authentication loosely tied to active directory?

What's the best authentication scheme when you are dealing with an active directory that someone else controls? I've been using pam configured for smb and local passwords where a local account is needed for real logins (but either the domain or local password will work) and web services don't require a local account. That's most of the functionality I want and it doesn't take pre-arrangement with the AD administrator, but I have to glue mod_auth_pam into httpd and I'm not sure how to duplicate it for java web services. Is there a way to use an LDAP proxy in a similar way so I can add accounts of my own but also accept anything from one or more AD's? Trouble (?) reformatting flash drive to include former U3 partition

Semi-OT? I just got a new SanDisk 8GB flash drive, and, as usual, it came with the U3 software (for Windoze) on a "CD" partition and considerably less than 8GB on the disk partition. I put it into my WinXP portable and told U3 to delete itself, but I still can't get at the old U3 part of the drive. I've tried WinXP's format command, disk management and CentOS's fdisk, and nothing will give me more than 7,872,512 bytes per cylinder, times 1019 cylinders yields 8,022,089,728 bytes. Is that right, or should there be more? fdisk also reports that the drive has 8029 "MB", or 8029470208 bytes, which is 7,380,480 bytes difference (until it gets allocated into the 8,022,089,728 bytes of the partition) - I'm thinking this is a standard formatting loss. My 4GB flash drive has 4,096,189,440 bytes on it, and twice that would be 8,192,378,880, which is a difference of 170,289,152 bytes, or about 162+MB. The former "CD" partition (which is invisible, so far) only had 8,645,202 bytes used on it, which leaves a huge amount of room to spare of inaccessible empty space. What am I missing? Or is that just the way it is? (The package only says "Some capacity is not available for data storage." That doesn't really tell me enough.) Thanks. mhr

OT - Tomcat CLASSPATH issue

if this is ignored then fair enough as its not really the place for it but if anyone has seen this it would be good to know tomcat is 6.0.18 CLASSPATH is set in /etc/sysconfig/<appname> and this IS getting used as _some_ configuration items are being picked up from /etc/<appname> but the issue is when default setting from within the webapp are not being overwritten by settings in /etc/<appname> ie if they are in /etc/<appname> and /var/lib/<appname>/webapps/ROOT/WEB-INF/classes/foo then the webapps location wins. If i echo the CLASSPATH during app start then /etc/<appname> comes first so i dont see why the values in here are not taking precedence any thoughts?

I am thinking of getting an Areca ARC-1222 connected to 6 sata drives in raid 10. http://www.areca.com.tw/products/pcietosas01.htm I have read good things about the ARC-1220 (iop333) sata only. nvidia dual monitor setup centos howto

I had some trouble setting up dual monitors on centos with an nvidia card. I managed to track stuff down, so I thought I'd make it public on the list. I have an nvidia quadro nvs 290 in a Dell, recently installed centos5. Same stuff should apply for other nvidia cards. I needed nvidia-x11-drv.x86_64. It is available from rpmforge. Installing rpmforge is described on this page(http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories/RPMForge). If you just open the display panel and choose dual monitor settings and restart X, X can't get started and gives error messages. When I restore the old /etc/X112/xorg.conf, it comes back to life, without dual monitors of course. Farkas' solution is exactly right. I have been banging my head against this problem for a while now and it wasn't until I finally paced myself and read carefully through the entire thread that I found this solution. Here is the procedure spelled out a bit more precisely. Get the CentOS 5.2 rpms of popt, rpm, rpm-libs, rpm-python and rpm-build. Obviously you can use most any mirror and if you are using i386 you should replace x86_64 with i386. I prefer to use RIT since its my Alma Mater and they seem to have good bandwidth and keep older versions. # wget http://mirrors.rit.edu/centos/5.2/os/x86_64/CentOS/popt-1.10.2-48.el5.x8 6_64.rpm # wget http://mirrors.rit.edu/centos/5.2/os/x86_64/CentOS/rpm-4.4.2-48.el5.x86_ 64.rpm # wget http://mirrors.rit.edu/centos/5.2/os/x86_64/CentOS/rpm-build-4.4.2-48.el 5.x86_64.rpm # wget http://mirrors.rit.edu/centos/5.2/os/x86_64/CentOS/rpm-libs-4.4.2-48.el5 .i386.rpm # wget http://mirrors.rit.edu/centos/5.2/os/x86_64/CentOS/rpm-python-4.4.2-48.e l5.x86_64.rpm It took some testing but because we are rolling back several packages RPM handled the dependencies a little weird but here's the rpm command that does all the magic. # rpm -Uvh --oldpackage --nodeps popt-1.10.2-48.el5.x86_64.rpm rpm-4.4.2-48.el5.x86_64.rpm rpm-libs-4.4.2-48.el5.i386.rpm rpm-python-4.4.2-48.el5.x86_64.rpm --nodeps is required because rpm complains about needing to fill some dependencies for 4.4.2-48 but we are in fact trying to install those very dependencies so we have to tell rpm not to bother. If you are concerned throw in a --test switch to make sure everything goes well. I never like using rpm to roll back rpm, just seems dangerous, like crossing the streams. After rolling back to the CentOS 5.2 versions of popt, rpm, rpm-libs and rpm-python I am able to successfully init the epel-5-i386 mock root. I tested several times and made sure to clear the build root and yum caches in my tests. Farkas' suggested this might be a bug in rpm or popt which seems to hold true. Clearly between point releases something changed that caused rpm to behave slightly differently when it comes to ordering transactions. re-install over internet

Hello, I just got back from a datacenter where I installed a new server running CentOS 5.3. I set up a software raid with md0 being /. (Only one mount, didn't split anything up.) I just discovered that instead of raid 1, it did raid 0... Not exactly what I wanted! Probably missed that little check when installing. So now, I need to change this. But since the whole OS is on this raided partition that I want to change, I'm a bit stuck. Is there a way to launch an installer while in the OS that I can re-install the whole thing over the internet, without having to physically go to the box? Speed of installation is not that much of an issue. It would obviously need to keep up some sort of shell with my current eth0 settings during the install. Thanks for any ideas! Bob

Hi all, I have a kickstart file that works for /dev/sda. I now need to detect an HP server and use /dev/cciss instead of hard coded /dev/sda. How can I detect what the name of the device is and use /dev/cciss and not /dev/sda? Jerry

Guys, apache cpus usage is hitting 100% sometimes ( to such an extent that its very noticeable) on a box with just 8 users or so. i m getting this when i run 'top'. can't access remote Windows 2008 desktop via Krdc / Remote Desktop

Hi all, Does anyone know why CentOS 5.+3 + latest KDE won't connect to a Windows 2008 server via Remote Desktop, yet it will work on a Windows 2003 server? I can easily connect to a Windows 2003 server, using rdp:/196.34.x.x and login and use the Windows 2003 server. But when I try the same with a Widows 2008 server, it just fails. I see if connecting, and then it "dies" without even displaying me the login screen. I would like to use ntpd for time sync not rdate or ntpdate. but after installation the ntpd, I found that listened at all interfaces like below. udp 0 0 192.168.111.2:123 0.0.0.0:* 11528/ntpd udp 0 0 xxx.xxx.62.20:123 0.0.0.0:* 11528/ntpd udp 0 0 127.0.0.1:123 0.0.0.0:* 11528/ntpd udp 0 0 0.0.0.0:123 0.0.0.0:* 11528/ntpd Is there any way or option that only listen 127.0.0.1 for security reason? I went and added a file to /etc/logrotate.d and ran it to rotate the file /var/log/btmp { minsize 1M create 0600 root root rotate 1 } Then I added the same to the logrotate.conf and deleted the file I had added for manual rotation. To /etc/logrotate.conf /var/log/btmp { monthly minsize 1M create 0600 root root rotate 1 } The manual worked. I am gonna delete the 800mb file and call it a wash. Good thing I left enough on that partition to deal with it. Chmod 0600, root/root, add to etc/logrotate.d, monthly. Any other ideas to optimize this are welcome. This was as installed and quite odd that it was not included in the setup. Thanks

Hi List, i found a Problem with the CentOS RPM for OpenSwan exactly its the Version: openswan.i386 2.6.14-1.el5_3.2 . If you set the Pluto Debug-Level in the ipsec.conf to "all" (Exactly the line looks like this" plutodebug="all" ") and now a client connect to the Server the Ipsec gets an Segmentation Fault and is killed. We Authenticate our clients with x509 Certificates. The Ipsec ist also killed when a client dosent own a valid Certificate. The Problem occured also on an 64bit System. Btmp and Wmtp log rotate

IN the /var/log/ folder there are two files WTMP and BTMP BTMP is getting huge after a year, about 800MB, WTMP is getting close to 1MB. In the /etc/logrotate.conf I see this -------------------- # no packages own wtmp -- we'll rotate them here /var/log/wtmp { monthly minsize 1M create 0664 root utmp rotate 1 } ------------------- I can see where WTMP will probably rotate at some point soon. However there is nothing for BTMP. I thought about doing the same thing for btmp however the permissions are set at 0600 currently on the file. Will logrotate be able to rotate it at 0600 and if it creates at 0600 will it still work. Should I change to 0644 or 0664 (which would allow others to read the file?) /var/log/btmp { monthly minsize 1M create 0664 root utmp rotate 1 } I saw some fedora bugs on this and many were worried about the permissions and had issues with the logrotate of this file due to it. No solution was yet shown though they said it was fixed upstream. My file is almost a gigabyte and I am thinking of just 'touching' it to clear it. Any imput, ideas, etc, would be cool. Manually rotate it? Ideas?

IPv6 range provisioning question

Error messages? or what

I've been seeing this kind of crap now for some time, and only in the past couple of weeks did I realize I was using the Plus Kernel instead of the normal stock kernel. Could this have something to do with it? Messages also appear mentioning something about a PowerNow K-8, which I thought was something you'd see from an AMD processor, not a quad core intel 64 bit box.
