Anybody ever done 6 monitors on one server before? :)

My boss wants to put together a Network Operations Center, with a network monitoring server as the centerpiece. He wants that server to have 6 monitors: 4 for network monitoring tools (rrdtool, etc) and two for running commands and the like (ping, traceroute, etc). I know that with the right video card(s) you can have two monitors, but has anybody had 6? Thanks! Ben

sempron 2500+ running at 1044 cpu speed.

I have a desktop unit with a sempron 2500+ to play with. doing "more /proc/cpuinfo" indicates cpu Mhz as1044 not the 2500 I am familiar with cpuspeed. doing ps ax | grep cpuspeed resulting in nothing. I did service cpuspeed start. No errors reported. ps ax | grep cpuspeed resulted in nothing. I was going to do "killall -SIGUSR1 cpuspeed" to attempt to get 2500+ cpu speed. I am compiling wine right now so I havent gotten back into the BIOS. Is there another way to get the FULL cpu speed. THanks, Jerry

Anaconda Exception when installing Centos SPARC

I'm installing CentOS SPARC but when i think everything goes fine and finish choosing the packages i want to install i get an ANACONDA EXCEPTION: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 1176 in intf.run (id, dispatch, configFileData) File "/local/builder/tmp/anaconda-10.1.1.25 //usr /lib/anaconda/text.py", line 510, in run Then the installation aborts. bind problem

I have bind running on two servers. Both servers are running bind-9.2.4-7. When I update a zone file on the primary and reload bind, the secondary receives a notify, but does not initiate an AXFR. The only way I can get the secondary to update is to delete the zone file on the secondary and restart named. Any ideas what might be wrong? Mike

Updating Squirrelmail-i18n dependency

Because of a folder display problem caused by certain character encodings used in some email headers we had previously updated to squirrelmail-1.4.6-1 and installed squirrelmail-i18n-1.4.6-1 to cope. Yum is now trying to update our installation with the latest offical Centos release but there does not seem to be a corresponding squirrelmail-i18n rpm available in any of the repositories which is causing the following dependency check failure. Is it possible/desireable to override this or should we simply continue with what we have? Or is it possible to get a Centos specific squirrelmail-i18n rpm built? Centos4.3 hangs on install

Best way to install on Reiserfs?

Hello, how can install my CentOS 4.3 under Reiserfs from install? (clean install) I have to download the kernel from centosplus and integrate to my dvd and mofidy some things on anaconda or something? I hace already googled about this but some answers are too crazy than I'm get scared! I was thinking something like this: Format my S-ATA with other distro who support Resiserfs and when the install finish reboot and chroot to my particion and install the kernel from centosplus??? Can't Access Samba Running Linux Box From XP

Hi All, I've just installed Samba on a Linux box, and can see the Windows box attempting connections, but, when inputting the username/password, I keep getting the same user/pass prompt window. What should I troubleshoot for this? I gave the user/pass that is the same as the account on the Linux box, which has permissions to view the shared directory in /etc/samba/smb.conf. Cheers. Hi All, I have posted same subject before also . i got suggestions . It worked also . I using source code of kernel 2.6.9( ie is in tar format) which is applied all the patches . Anaconda allows x86_64 CD/DVD to be used to install i386 system

As subject says. I just noticed that Anaconda allows x86_64 CD/DVD to be used to install i386 system (using network installation, of course). This is basically broken. For example, yum will believe that it is installed on x86_64, not on i386. So when you do for example yum update, it will try to install x86_64 packages on i386 system. Which isn't going to fly, since installed kernel is 32-bit (so you get broken executables). It can also play havoc with postinstall scripts that will detect they are being run under 64-bit kernel during installation, but resulting system is really 32-bit. -- See Ya' later, alligator! http://www.8-P.ca/

Migrate from RHAS 4 to CentOS 4.2

I have a SGI Altix 350 (ia64) that came with RHAS 4, but without any paid support. I would like to migrate the server over to CentOS. Here is what I've pieced together from some older posts by Johnny, can someone confirm this should work? I know this is somewhat covered in the FAQ, although both entries refer to FC or WBEL, which already have built-in yum support. Possible to cause Yum to "reload" packages a second time?

I wrote in a thread entitled "ip_conntrack_ftp fails to load on CentOS4.3" that I had what I considered to be a borked upgrade, using yum update. When I went from 4.2 -> 4.3 I ceased to be able to use the ip_conntrack_ftp module, thus cutting off my users from ftp access. What I'd like to do is get yum to rerun its update procedure, which should allow any post processing that failed to complete properly to do so. I'm hoping that will add whatever missing piece is causing me the grief. What I haven't found in my reading is any way to get this to occur. Yum insists that nothing needs to be updated, and the logs seem to show it. Yet here I am with the one server that actually needs to have ftp access, without it. Things were working fine until the fateful yum update run. I've considered using rpm -F to refresh the files, but from what I can see that won't work. The switch only causes existing packages to be updated. I just don't see any switches in rpm or yum that will enable me to do what I want to attempt. Does anyone know of a wait to cajole yum to do my bidding? Thanks! Barry

FYI the intial .99 version breaks revolving capture queues. http://bugs.ethereal.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=895 The author released a fix for this (pretty quickly too) but I am unsure if RedHat applied the latest CVS fixes (SVN 18032) to this update or not. cdrecord issues

I have an issue with cdrecord though and I can't figure it out. I use Webmin, which basically just creates an iso and then uses cdrecord to burn it and it worked fine with previously installed CentOS 4 (I wiped and reinstalled about 8 months ago). This is the command that Webmin tries to execute... cdrecord -v dev=0,0,0 speed=4 -isosize \ '/home/Linux/CentOS-4/CentOS-4.2-i386-bin4of4.iso' The result of cdrecord -scanbus at bottom of email. Rebuilding Raid 1

Trying a different approch. Senario Raid 1 setup Bootable raid drive failed Mirror has been working for almost a month and then rebooted Now can't boot mirror drive grub not mirrored from other drive. I Fixed bootable drive. Question? Can I hook up both drives and boot fixed drive then rebuilt mirror from nonbootable drive to bootable drive? Does the raid automatically rebuilt when I boot with both drives? Can I run a command to rebuilt from one drive to the other and visa versa I want to try it but I am worried that if I hook them up and it boots that because the bootable drive has older info it might over write the other drive. Thanks Can't seem to figure out how to get the other drive bootable.

weird install issue

this existed in 4.2 and i hoped it would magically fix itself in 4.3, but no such luck. if you do a custom install and select the everything package (i'm lazy and don't care if i burn disk space :-), when it gets to cd 4, it will suddenly need disk 1 again to install the comps package and then go back to 4 for the rest of the install. it seems like the comps package would have been installed very early on in the process, so this seems very odd. i can look at the install log if that would do someone some good.

I would like to express my appreciation to the maintainers of the CentOS distribution for the degree of thoroughness evidenced in the set up of the test repository at http://dev.centos.org. I was casting around for how to configure my yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo to handle a few packages that I must obtain from the test area (firefox, which seems to have moved since yesterday, and postgresql). I expected that at some point I would have to ask for help here on the list, but no, it turns out that my need was foreseen and provided for at: http://dev.centos.org/centos/4.2/CentOS-Testing.repo. I know I'll need the X Windows and Gnome stuff, but I'm concerned about dependencies and/or conflicts between the packages necessary for everything I want to do. I certainly want to use the Terminal prompts whenever possible -- particularly for setting up the networking and Apache server -- so that I can begin to learn Linux/Unix. The question really becomes: Can I do it all on one box or am I going to create a nightmare for myself because of overlapping programs that "hijack" critical functions from the web server, or vice-versa? I erased my original install (with everything) because it seemed more important to me to learn what it was I needed and install it manually later on if and when the need arose. Good thinking or...? Yum curiosity: --obsoletes with update, useful or not?

Got a wild hair this A.M. and decided to inundate my two brain cells. "Man yum" includes this: update If run without any packages, update will update every currently installed package. ... assumed to be a shell glob and any matches are then installed. If the --obsoletes flag is present yum will include package obsoletes in its calculations - this makes it better for distro- version changes, for example: upgrading from somelinux 8.0 to somelinux 9. Hmmm. Cell number 2 doesn't forget much. I recall several admonitions that major upgrade should take the form of a new install. E.g. CentOS 3* to CentOS 4*. The paragraph above *seems* to indicate that a major upgrade might be doable? Moreover, it prompts the questions: 1) "What are the downsides, if any?" 2) "Has anybody tried it recently?" 3) "Have any results to report?" No pressing need, just curious. TIA -- Bill

I have tried to configure an ftp server on one of my machines, I want to all authenticated users to be able to upload files to the apache web root /var/www/html. This machine is behind a firewall/router and will not be exposed to the outside world. I want to know if someone can point me to a good tutorial on setting up one of these servers, I have read the man pages and googled for possible configurations and I still have not been successfull. Good day..... This is a slightly older issue for me. In the past I had tried to install Samba on a centos 4.0 box, and the useradd tool on Centos 4 would not add the "$" character to the usernames being created. This showed up whenever a domain trust was trying to be established for a computer that was logging into the samba share for the first time. Maybe I messed something up, but it was not an issue on whitebox linux (which i ended up using for the install at that time) At any rate - I was wondering if anyone ran into this issue on the current 4.3 (or even 4.2 for that matter) version? I have another install coming up and I would * really * prefer to use the latest centos build. Thanks! Dustin

We have created a new version of freenx (freenx-0.5.0-8.c4.noarch.rpm) and moved it to the testing repo. This is based on the code displayed at the LWE in San Francisco ... http://lwn.net/Articles/146825/ http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/8489 (though it is not officially released as stable by the freenx people) This version should handle printing and reconnecting to running sessions much better. Running sessions (on the nx server, that is the machine you are connecting to) are stored in "/var/lib/nxserver/db/running" ... if you have been disconnected in the past, there may be several old sessions out there that need to be cleaned up ... go remove the sessions that are invalid (all of them in that directory if you do not have any open sessions to that server). There is no real auto cleanup of these if your session breaks ... I will try to develop something that works later. In the meantime, if you session list is to big and some are dead, you will have to delete them manually. This version also allows rootless mode, which is faster compression. Hanging @ Sendmail During Boot

Hi All, I have a coupla queries about my 2 latest installs of CentOS 4-3. When I first installed and logged in as the initial user, everything went well, and the system was fast. A reboot, and 2nd login gave the same. But, upon connecting to the net, the system hung at sendmail for almost 4mins, and then gave an error at login about not finding the host, and that Gnome may not work correctly, with options of Continue or try Again. After that, the system has become extensively slow. Any ideas why this would be this way? This is the 2nd machine, different locations, different media, that this has happened. Rather annoying. Hi, I have a setup with raid 1 and one drive has failed, and the other drive won't boot says missing os. I thought I had it setup and tested but it would appear that it wasn't setup to boot form either drive. How can I boot from the good drive that is missing the grub. I am thinking of using linux rescue when booting from the centos 4.2 disc This is a production machine and I don't want to mess it up. Please help

Raid Questions

Hi, I have a centos 4.2 server setup and running as a zimbra email server. It has 2 18.4Gig SCSI hard drives setup in software raid 1 for mirroring. I had tested the unit before production and found that if I disconnected one of the drives the other wouldn't boot I search and found that I had to modify the boot (I don't remember exactly at the moment) After testing I am sure it worked. On the weekend the power went out and turns out one drive had failed and the server wouldn't boot from the other drive. I am not sure at what point the other drive failed could be days could be weeks ago. What is the proper way to get the system running again? I can fix the failed drive. (damaged pin). When I get it running again will the info on the drive that won't boot be mirror back to the other drive? I am sure the drive that won't boot due to grub and raid is the most current. ip_conntrack_ftp fails to load on CentOS 4.3

I have a CentOS 4.3 box that is giving me some serious problem. During the "yum update" from 4.2 -> 4.3 I lost my connection (okay, I accidentally closed the window). I logged back on and did another yum update, and it appeared as though things completed properly. Everything is working fine, up until one of my hosting clients noted that he is now unable to use ftp to update his web site. He could when I was running 4.2. Upon further inspection, I noted that the ip_conntrack_ftp module wasn't loaded. When I tried to insert it manually via "modprobe ip_conntrack_ftp" I get what appears to be a hang in the terminal session. Logging on via a separate session I can see that there are tons of "modprobe" processes being spawned. I can use ^C to break out of modprobe and the processes all die. Thinking that I may borked the kernel install, I dropped back to the 2.6.9-22SMP.EL kernel, where I still cannot load the module. I then removed the -34* kernel packages and reinstalled them, then booted into them. No dice. Just for fun, I cleared all iptables entries, and tried again. No dice. Short of a reload (which would be inconvient, given that the box is 100 miles away) I'm at a loss at what to look at next. Everything appears to be fine. The machine is a dual-Athlon box, SCSI, with selinux in permissive mode. Using "strace modprobe ip_conntrack_ftp" I get the results which are at the end of this message. The "unfinished" entry at the end occured when I hit ^C. None of my other boxes (4.2->4.3 upgrades) have this problem. An "rpm -Va" doesn't present any unexpected results (e.g. Those files noted as changed have been, by me.) What have I missed? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks very much. The next lines are modules that describe other KS parameters, display config, firewall config, disk partitions and mirroring, and lists of software groups and/or individual packages to install. One VERY IMPORTANT point to remember is shown in the "%pre" script. This is how to make the modules available to anaconda for processing. Just mount the tree where the modules live somewhere on the target system where you can tell anaconda to go read it. Here, I just create a new directory ( /mnt/ks ) and all %include directives reference that tree. Again, all paths must be specified the way that the CLIENT will evaluate them. After that, it's a snap. You can do almost anything you want as far as including other config files, additional pre/post scripts, whatever. Thanks Craig for your soon answer.. I've now the FDS up and running... I am now creating my users in FDS because I want to unify the authentication of my 3 centos servers. BUT, When I create my users in FDS I don't see any option of UID, GID, home directory, etc, so the FDS server return an error and my remote users can't authenticate....... my question is? 1. Can I use FDS to authenticate remote linux users? I mean create in FDS a user with UID, GID, home directory. 2. Can I set up another server with authconfig (Use LDAP Authentication) pointing to my FDS? 2. Does FDS do exactly the same of openldap? 3. Does anybody knows any way to migrate all users from /etc/passwd to FDS? (I know openldap does) 4. Is FDS better than Openldap? Vault files do NOT get security updates. vault.centos.org is where old versions go to die. 4.2+ security updates = 4.3 ============================ ummm ... 4.3 is 4.2 with updates :) ============================ Centos-4.3 works fine with both plesk-7.5.4 and plesk-8. You can change /etc/redhat-relase to Redhat Enterprise Linux 4..... and use the rpms released for RHEL4.. works fine :) atleast it has worked fine on our servers :) ============================ Thanks everyone! troubleshooting kernel crash?

I'm getting kernel crashes on a new machine since it went into production some weeks ago. How can I troubleshoot this? I suspect a hardware problem, but I know too few about the kernel and kernel debugging on Linux to know how I can nail this down with debugging software. Hi all. I have a simple question: CentOS relies mostly on "yum" to keep systems up to date, although I understand that like on RHEL, "up2date" is also available. On my system I've run both KDE and GNOME as Graphical Desktops under X (though I presently run GNOME), and I've noticed that there is an applet called "CentOS Network Alert Icon" (from the "System Tools" menu) which when run appears in a "status area" in a panel to show whether the system needs updating or not. This applet shows the up2date sources, but my question is: Is there any way to have some sort of similar applet that does this for yum. I just think that when we add repos we usually add them through yum. Also when we update the system we usually use yum. Hence I think it would be better to use an applet similar to up2date's for yum so that there is no need to edit both yum and up2date files and there is consistency between when the applet signals a need for updating and the actual "yum update" command. Am I making sense? I found a site (http://fedoranews.org/tchung/yum-applet/) with the source for a yum applet. I know I can build this for myself, but I was wondering what others on this list think and whether such an applet should be more widely available to the general CentOS audience. problem installing centos 4.0 on Compaq Presario SR1722IL

hey friends, Recently I purchased Compaq Presario SR1722IL and I tried to install Centos 4.0 on it but it started showing errors like: Uniform CD-ROM driver revision: 3.20 Combo SOLTC-4836k ATAPI CD/DVD-ROM drive hdc: IRQ Probe failed (Oxfcfa) hdd: IRQ Probe failed (Oxfcfa) hdc: lost interrupt I tried installing FC4 also but same problem persist. Windows 2000 & Windows XP are already installed on the same system that means the Combo Drive is working fine. Then I tried installing SUSE 10.0 with the same Combo Drive and I faced no problem except when it starts "Gnome or KDE" it shows Frequency out of range.. What is the reason that FC4 and Centos4.0 are failing with the installation? What should I do to get rid of the problem ? Thanks & Regards Ankush Grover

Error in ghostscript ?

Just tried to run a perl script to do some ripping and converting of a postscript file, and ghostscript bombed out with the error message below. Can someone tell me is this really a ghostscript error, or is there more to it than this? If need be, I can attach the perl script that caused the error, but I think it is OK. Running mount in a script.

I am running CentOS 4 and have the need to run "mount -t cifs ..." from within a perl or bash script as part of an application. The application does not run as root. I have been trying to do a chmod +s on a root owned script but that doesn't seem to work. I still get permission errors. I also took a look at sudo but that appears to require a user to periodically enter a password. This would not work for this application. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do a mount from a script based application not being run as root? Thanks for your help. os update with plesk

Hi, I have plesk server administration 7.5.4 on my server and am wanting to upgrade to plesk 8. Plesk 8 supports Centos 4.2 and the notes on the 4.2 readme say: http://mirror.centos.org/centos/4.2/readme If you know what you are doing, and absolutely want to remain at the 4.2 level, go to http://vault.centos.org/ for packages. If you follow the other link listed in that doc it goes to the centos vault with this text: http://www.centos.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=34 There is a CentOS Vault containing old CentOS trees. This vault is a picture of the older tree when it was removed from the main tree, and does not receive updates. It should only be used for reference. I will need to keep my server os at 4.2 because that is the only one plesk supports so according to those 2 articles and staying at centos 4.2 will the "vault" files be the one to use and will they get security updates? Processes stuck in futex()

I'm occasionally seeing processes on my CentOS 4.3 system get hung up, which strace reveals to be waiting on a call to futex(). Previously I'd only ever seen this in mysql on RH9, and google searches for explanations haven't turned up anything useful. Any pointers to where I should look? Is this another one of those things where using the default SMP kernel with a hyperthreaded processor is just a Bad Idea?

pptpclient and dependencies

I'm going thru the documentation for pptpclient located on the pptpclient.sourceforge.net site and am referencing the Fedora Core 3 how-to. The docs refer to installing libglade and libxml and when I do so with a "yum install libglade libxml" no packages are found for installation. In looking at the installed packages I find libxml2. Is libxml2 adequate for libxml or would it be neccessary to install libxml also? Thanks for any help list members may be able to provide.

dag repo and perl dependencies naming

Hi I'm trying to install amavisd-new from dag repo on centos3. In the spec file perl dependencies use parenthesis: perl(Digest::MD5) it also uses '-': perl-MailTools The problem is that only the second notation is available: perl-MD5 I know this is an old problem. Is this only centos related? Is there a workaround? Do I have to modify the spec file? I'd like to use yum... Regards

I'm gonna remove the user name which is actually 1 character shorter than 'username' ... I have a client with a somewhat long domain name... myhomelenders.net I am using LDAP and the primary mail address is in an ldap attribute called 'mail' and that is working fine. I also use an ldap attribute called 'mailLocalAddress' for storing aliases and those have been working fine until now. using raw ldapsearch, it works fine when I... ldapsearch -x '(mailLocalAddress=username(a)myhomelenders.net)' but apparently the chop comes after 23 characters because when I send mail to the username(a)myhomelenders.net... I get an email rejection for username(a)myhomelenders.n eporting-MTA: dns; srv1.myhomelenders.net X-Postfix-Queue-ID: 4C7F8F8CD0 X-Postfix-Sender: rfc822; root(a)myhomelenders.net Arrival-Date: Thu, 27 Apr 2006 18:25:02 -0700 (MST) Final-Recipient: rfc822; username(a)myhomelenders.n Original-Recipient: rfc822; username(a)myhomelenders.net Action: failed Status: 5.0.0 Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; [myhomelenders.n]: Name or service not known and I get the email in 'user.et' (the balance of the name that remained from above) which was delivered by cyrus. CentOS/Apache Web Farm

I'm going to start this message with the CentOS list serve... I am looking into building a Web Server Farm using CentOS. Has anyone done this before? Could anyone offer some ideas I need to look at or in to? The Servers will be independent of each other and not SANS attached. That's the part that is throwing me off! I will be using some sort of load balancing, too. My ideal setup would be to have 3 servers. 2 servers in the main data center and 1 server in a remote location. The remote location would not be load balanced, but the data would need to be replicated. Could anyone offer any advice or suggestions on how to pull this off? I've spent the past 3 days looking. I've found different ideas, but each have their uniqueness! What are some actual real-case scenarios? Thanks, Todd

How to find your IP Address

Ok guys a quick newb question. I have been reading up on the Red Hat Enterprise 4 for dummies book along with installing and playing with the configurations of Cent OS 4. I have yet been able to find any information on how to find out what your IP address is. I have it set to use DHCP from our Windows server and I looked under the network card configuration settings but can not find any command or GUI place that will show your IP Address. When I go to a windows machine and try to ping the Cent box by its name it cant find the host. Now I know I can go into the DHCP server but I need to learn how to find it on the Linux box. Another question has to deal with Samba. I set up samba using the GUI interface then ran service smb start command to start up samba. The book says I should be able to browse the network with a windows machine now and find the linux box but I am unable to. Any clues why its not showing up on the network?

I had the same problem with 4.3 on one system out of 4 I recently built. I checked iptables, /etc/sysconfig/networks , /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 (and eth1) , /etc/resolv.conf etc etc. What was strange is I could ping , nslookup etc from that system but could never ssh to it. Same error message your posting. I ended up using a mondorescue disk from another system that worked fine and then fixed the configs for the different network configuration. If you do find out the root cause of that please share it as it bugged me not actually finding out why the same configuration process on 4 systems failed on 1 system (all the same exact hardware as well). /sbin/ifconfig -a Samba: 1. check the logs in /var/log for helpfull data. 2. iptables may be your culprit. by default it will block incoming smb connections from your windows systems to that linux system. So you will need to modify /etc/sysconfig/iptables to allow the ports and protocols into your linux server otherwise they will just get dropped. You can probably browse from the linux box to a windows network (as iptables allows outbound connections from the system by default) but not vice-a-versa. Your next question may be how to modify IP tables to allow in smb connections. man iptables cp /etc/sysconfig/iptables /etc/sysconfig/iptables.orig vi /etc/sysconfig/iptables add some entries like this (i am unsure of the smb ranges needed so I am using 135 as an example although I think the range is 135-139 and 445) where x.x.x.x is the workstation you want to trust the connection from. I have been reading up on the Red Hat Enterprise 4 for dummies book along with installing and playing with the configurations of Cent OS 4. I have yet been able to find any information on how to find out what your IP address is. I have it set to use DHCP from our Windows server and I looked under the network card configuration settings but can not find any command or GUI place that will show your IP Address. When I go to a windows machine and try to ping the Cent box by its name it cant find the host. Now I know I can go into the DHCP server but I need to learn how to find it on the Linux box. Another question has to deal with Samba. I set up samba using the GUI interface then ran service smb start command to start up samba. The book says I should be able to browse the network with a windows machine now and find the linux box but I am unable to. Any clues why its not showing up on the network?

Netconsole - how do I tell id a driver offers polling?

Appologies in advance if there is an obvious answer to this. I'm experimenting with netconsole. When I try to insmod the netconsole module it complains that eth0 doesn't support polling. Any idea where I can find a list of supported NICs? How can I workout if a NIC driver supports polling? Many thanks Daveh

smux service (port 199)

Hi, when I run a nmap localhost I see that port 199 is open for the smux service but when I check the services gui in runlevel 3 or 5 I don't find it. It's also not in /etc/init.d/ At the moment almost everything is inactive except for some well known services like httpd crond etc. but mux is still there. Does anyone know how to colse this service? regards, ivago

Hi, First, we need to mount stage2.img and alter its contents. copy this file from the cdrom to somewhare in your computer say # cp /media/cdrom/CentOS/base/stage2.img /home/mydist First, we mount the image using mkdir /mnt/anaconda mount -o loop /home/mydist/stage2.img /mnt/anaconda Now we need to copy the contents to a directory where we can alter the files. We used tar to package the contents of the directory, and then untarred them where we could work on them. cd /mnt/anaconda tar -cvf /home/imtiyaz/stage2.tar . cd /home/imtiyaz mkdir stage2 cd stage2 tar -xvf /home/imtiyaz/stage2.tar With the contents of stage2.img in an editable directory, you can now alter the images used by the installer located in usr/share/anaconda/pixmaps and the images used in the installation slideshow in usr/share/anaconda/pixmaps/rnotes. You can also edit the text in the left sidebar, which are in HTML format, in usr/share/anaconda/help/[locale]. Where is clustat

I thought I've installed the clustering tools, but when I attempt to run clustat, it says it doesn't exist. When I installed the suite, I ran: yum install -y GFS GFS-kernel-smp magma-plugins fence dlm dlm-kernel-smp gulm cman cman-kernel-smp CCSD is running and when I "cat /proc/cluster/nodes", I see my three nodes. Does anyone see the package that I missed for clustat? Thanks, Todd
