They are not on a ups at the moment since these boxes are being test. nic bonding

I've just setup nic bonding on our server (DL585-G7 running Centos 5.5 x86_64) as detailed on the wiki: http://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/BondingInterfaces and all seems fine but from other "howto's" I've seen on the web, they're should be a /proc/net/bond0/info As far as I can see, I don't have one and I'm not sure if it should be there or its absence is a sign I've done something wrong. I found /proc/net/dev_snmp6/bond0 but is the same? Any ideas? I want to update bug 4526

Hi, how does one update a bug in the bug-database? Or is that only possible while it's still open? The update is only cosmetic in that I had the same problem but found out what the solution was (the bug is the only hit you get when searching for the error-message via google) Rainer

Afraid not, no /proc/net/bonding either. Server reboots unexpectebly.

Dear group, I am in the process of configuring 2 new servers. They are running Centos 5.5 and for the last three days they have been rebooting unexpectedly, can you point me in the right direction what to look for in the logs. I have been checking /var/log/messages but don't see anything that hint me any clues why this is happening. Your input is much much appreciated. Lisandro PS. These are custom built Tyan boxes.

That's not usually the case, though... Test 5 is the most stressfull for exercising memory. You can select that to run continuously overnight. Network bandwidth tools.

Hi All, I am wondering what tools are available in CentOS 5.5 that would allow me to measure incoming and outgoing network speeds? My new website seems to be getting a lot more traffic that I had anticipated off the bat and I would like to measure resource usage to ensure it is keeping up. We have several LINUX servers with Backup Exec 12.5 client on it. Based on Backup administrator told us when configure backup EXEC client he need "root" password. Also we can NOT change "root" password after configure otherwise backup will failed. Does there has way I can create a account with special group assign to it for Backup EXEC to use? Thanks.

Dear List, I need to be able to pull off attachments from e-mails on the fly and then demime them and print them. I have been studying MIME::Tools but was hoping someone could point me to a script example of something I could use. Any help would be appreciated - Thanks! -- Greg Ennis
