This is more a CentOS issue, I think (hope) than selinux. I've got some systems in permissive mode - good thing, or they'd be dead. they keep spewing execmem errors with java, among other things. This *seems* like something that should be covered. I looked at the policy (selinux-policy-targeted, and it's 2.4.6. Googling around for the error, trying to find what's hopefully a boolean, or a role/etc solution, I saw an FC package with a 3.somethingorother release. Now, I don't know if that related to fedora, or if that relates to an selinux release. Does anyone know? Are we, with CentOS, that far behind with something like this, which isn't even a port, but a policy? mark, tired of crap in my logs

Xen-server in virt-manager Paravirtualized doesn't work

Hi all, I'm setting up a virtualization software on CentOS, using virt-manager, KVM, qemu and Xen When I want to create a VM, paravirtualized mode isn't possible (ie it is grey) What should I do to use xen paravirtualized mode ? i figured that xen is not running but /etc/init.d/xend start doesn't work xen and xen-kernel are installed on the machine (rpm -qa | grep xen replies : xen & xen-kernel) thanks for all help -- Cordialement, / Greetings, Georghy FUSCO

Using Wireshark on CentOS without UI

Hi All Yesterday i had installed wireshark on my centos box which does not have the GUI , It is actually a hardened box. I installed the tool using the following command: yum install wireshark After installation i dont know how to proceed further in capturing the packets. I basically want to capture packets and copy them onto my windows box. On the windows box i can use the Wireshark UI to open the pcap file to view its contents. Can some one help me in this regard. Centos-release srpm

Hi, Does anyone know where I can get centos-release-5-4.el5.centos.1.src.rpm? I have looked on several mirrors and that one seems to be MIA. Even Google does not seem to know where it is. Well, I have had to tweak this it a little, bit it finally worked fine. Initlally, the arial.ttf could not be found, so that I had to force the use of courier regular I'm using the standard default Treeflower theme. Sendmail using LDAP authentication problem

Hi , all ; My openldap is running fine . Sendmail configuration is done. I want to use LDAP authentication only. User of my mailserver should not have a Linux users . I am running CentOS 5.3 i386 . Openldap-2.3.43-3.el5 , sendmail-8.13.8-2.el5 All the software is already installed and running . LDAP has the following tree: uid=xxx, ou=People, dc=test, dc=com I want to know what I've to change which configuration file and any pointer to the doc with clearly says the configuration . Any help will be appreciated. Please I am kind of stuck and waiting for anyone who can clear this cloud. Thank you in advance ~

warnquota email domain ?

Dear All, Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question, or if I'm just being daft, but I can't get warnquota to send emails to the right address. When I put a test user (gollum) over quota, and run warnquota on a server (nfs2.lmb.internal), the email generated by warnquota appears in the maillog as "to=<gollum(a)nfs2.lmb.internal>," What I need is the email to go to "gollum(a)lmb.internal" I have four NFS servers, using NIS / automounts (no LDAP), my users all have email addresses <USERID(a)lmb.internal>. Any ideas on how to get warnquota to work, or should I just write a script to parse `repquota -avgu` ? many thanks Jake -- Jake Grimmett
