Driver for Logitech QuickCam E2500 series webcam

Does anybody know where I can find a driver for a Logitech E2500 webcam. I'm running CentOS 5 on my desktop and want to add a webcam for skype use. If I can yum install a driver from one of the repos that would be great. Andy

problem with yum on centos4.7

Hi all, Sorry for this newbie question. I am having a problem with yum on centos 4.7. When I try something like "yum update" I get the following error: file:///misc/CO4/updates/repodata/repomd.xml: [Errno 5] OSError: [Errno 2] No such file or directory: '/misc/CO4/updates/repodata/repomd.xml' Trying other mirror. Cannot open/read repomd.xml file for repository: update failure: repodata/repomd.xml from update: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. Error: failure: repodata/repomd.xml from update: [Errno 256] No more mirrors to try. I've tried "yum clean all" with no success. I'd be grateful for any help that I could get on this. Thanks. -tim

mdadm size issues

Hi, I am trying to create a 10 drive raid6 array. OS is Centos 5.3 (64 Bit) All 10 drives are 2T in size. device sd{a,b,c,d,e,f} are on my motherboard device sd{i,j,k,l} are on a pci express areca card (relevant lspci info below) #lspci 06:0e.0 RAID bus controller: Areca Technology Corp. ARC-1210 4-Port PCI-Express to SATA RAID Controller The controller is set to JBOD the drives. All drives have the same partition size # fdisk -l Disk /dev/sda: 2000.3 GB, 2000398934016 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 243201 cylinders Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System /dev/sda1 1 243201 1953512001 83 Linux .... I go about creating the array as follows # mdadm --create --verbose /dev/md3 --level=6 --raid-devices=10 /dev/sda1 /dev/sdb1 /dev/sdc1 /dev/sdd1 /dev/sde1 /dev/sdf1 /dev/sdi1 /dev/sdj1 /dev/sdk1 /dev/sdl1 mdadm: layout defaults to left-symmetric mdadm: chunk size defaults to 64K mdadm: size set to 1953511936K Continue creating array? As you can see mdadm sets the size to 1.9T. Looking around there was this limitation on older versions of mdadm if they are the 32 bit version. I am using the 64 bit most up to date version from Centos. Problem with raid0

Hey! I have big problem with my centos 5.1. I have two hard discs 500gig and 40gig and those are in RAID0. I would like to remowe the small 40gig hd and put new 500gig hd and i don't wan't raid0 anymore. How can i copy data from 40gig hd to 500gig hd and switch 40gig hd to new 500gig hd? Another question: Can i just copy all my files to windows laptop and if i wan't "backup" files? Please answer my talent in linux isn't very good.

Greetings, I'm currently using the c5-testing repo on CentOS 5.x/Redhat 5.x. I need to install APC (Alternative PHP Cache) but I'm getting a missing dependency error Missing Dependency: php = 5.1.6-23.2.el5_3 is needed by package php-devel. I was hoping somebody would be able to walk me through the steps of updating php-devel via the c5-testing repo? Thanks so much! Regards Kevin

Virtualizing an existing Centos 5.x installation

Hi all, i want to virtualize an existing Centos 5.x machine (intel xeon, 64 bit OS, Qlogic HBA) into a vmware 3.X VM that will not be connected to the SAN (hence no need for the HBA drivers).
