Color Coded Labels (Like OSX)

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to do something similar to Mac OSX color label, where you can highlight a file or group of files and assign them a color, making different files more obvious. For example, my files which are finished with are colored green and those which haven't been worked on are red, etc. This means, even with files of the same type, I can clearly see which ones need work doing to them. I'm not expecting you to do it or even explicitly explain how it would be done, just a pointer to the right files and any quick thoughts you might have about implementing a system like this will do!

out of memory

I am getting this message quite often lately. Centos 5.3, AMD dual core 5050e system x64 1 GIG ram, 4 GIG swap I dont have that much running that the kernel should be cutting out my processes. Any thoughts? DRBD very slow....

Hello all, we have a new setup with xen on centos5.3 I run drbd from lvm volumes to mirror data between the two servers. both servers are 1U nec rack mounts with 8GB RAM, 2x mirrored 1TB seagate satas. The one is a dual core xeon, and the other a quad-core xeon. I have a gigabit crossover link between the two with an MTU of 9000 on each end. I currently have 6 drbds mirroring across that link. The highest speed I can get through that link with drbd is 11 MB/sec (megabytes) But if I copy a 1 gig file over that link I get 110 MB/sec. Why is DRBD so slow? I am not using drbd encryption because of the back to back link. Hi Guy, I'm curious if you found a solution to the headless automount problem on centos? I'm running into a similar problem, though I am not using VNC. My machine is simply headless, with only network and power supplied, and I'm trying to trigger a bash script to run when a new device is added (like USB, DVD, CDROM, etc) using a custom udev rule. Automount seems to only work for removable devices if a user is logged in locally on the console, not via ssh. Something about the tty nature of the login seems to be affecting how udev handles these removable devices. When a user is logged in locally, it fires the udev rules, and will run my udev rule which triggers other actions. I can't get this to work without the local login though. any ideas or pointers? thanks, Jason

I read on another forum how a user using iSCSI for domUs was experiencing network hangs due to the fact that dom0 didn't have enough scheduler credits to handle the network throughput.
