Repo order - priority plugins

Guys, what is the best way of arranging the repos with regards to their priority? Any ideas, especially for all non base ones? /etc/yum.repos.d/CentOS-Base.repo - priority = 1, 2 /etc/yum.repos.d/atrpms.repo /etc/yum.repos.d/epel.repo /etc/yum.repos.d/kbs-extras.repo /etc/yum.repos.d/kbs-misc.repo /etc/yum.repos.d/rpmforge.repo How would we position dags repo?

Need to test serial port connection

I recently bought a new UPS, and I'm attempting to use nut to monitor it. Following setup instructions everything seemed to go well until it came to testing the connection, which failed. There is just one serial connector on the computer, so I set it to monitor /dev/ttyS0. Either that is wrong, or communication is failing. I've been told to try minicom to monitor it, but I'm not familiar with minicom (or any similar app), so again, I may be wrong in the way I'm trying to use that. I was told that unconnecting the device, then re-connecting it should give me a raft of output to the terminal - I saw nothing. Could someone please give me idiot-level instructions on how to tell whether I'm connecting to the correct port, or whatever other information I need? Thanks Anne

nightly rsync has started to throw errors

Hi all, I perform a nightly snapshot of /home to a USB attached drive scheduled via cron. The system is CentOS 5.2 and only gets attached to the internet periodically for updates, otherwise serves as a samba server to about 20 Windows clients. The rsync command being used is: rsync -av --delete /home/ /media/bkup320G/ and has been working well until a few days ago. Starting with a few days ago, my nightly rsync/cron emails included some errors as shown here: rsync: mkstemp "/media/bkup320G/cprcvs/c/Projects/WindowApps/DLL/HMRControlDLL/.CMDSettingsDialog.cpp,v.I5QnaM" failed: Read-only file system (30) rsync: failed to set times on "/media/bkup320G/cprcvs/c/Projects/WindowApps/DLL/PSIControlDLL": Read-only file system (30) There are multiple issuances of these errors for different files....some files are written just fine. Where there are errors, its always the same Read-only file system (30). Mod Security + CLAMAV -> Problem scan file

Dear Friends, I has Centos 4 and installed mod_security 1.9.4 on apache. I configurated mod_security to work with clamav using documentation below. http://www.modsecurity.org/documentation/modsecurity-apache/1.9.3/html-mult… But, when I do upload files using Squirrelmail, the module clamav not found files to scan, apache send for clamav NAME FILES differents. HylaFax and Com Ports

I need to setup HylaFax which leads to my first question, anyone got an opinion on whether or not to use HylaFax or HylaFax+? Also, I have to setup a Digi serial port server for an external fax modem. Any reco's on a robust unit that won't need to be reset often? Thanks! jlc
