LDAP + SSL

Hi everybody I have setting my ldap server. But I created an certificate with the following command: cd /usr/share/ssl/certs; make ldap.pem Then edit slapd.conf file a insert the following lines: TLSCipherSuite HIGH:MEDIUM:+SSLv2 TLSCACertificateFile /usr/share/ssl/certs/ldap.pem TLSCertificateFile /usr/share/ssl/certs/ldap.pem TLSCertificateKeyFile /usr/share/ssl/certs/ldap.pem I restart the service. Then, I run the comando authconfig and I select ldap with tls. DHCP Messages

Hi, Im getting this messages in the /var/log/messages about my dhcp server. I assume there is nothing to worry about, but just in case I have to ask. Are these messages fine? Do I need to specify the interface on which the dhcp server should listen to? ... dhcpd: Multiple interfaces match the same subnet: eth0 eth1 dhcpd: Multiple interfaces match the same shared network: eth0 eth1 LPF/eth1/00:a0:d1:e2:f5:1f/192.168.3/24 dhcpd: Multiple interfaces match the same subnet: eth0 eth1 dhcpd: Sending on LPF/eth1/00:a0:d1:e2:f5:1f/192.168.3/24 dhcpd: Multiple interfaces match the same shared network: eth0 eth1 dhcpd: Listening on LPF/eth0/00:a0:d1:e2:f5:1e/192.168.3/24 .... Kickstart Installation - Is it possible to set a fixed IP for installation?

Hi everyone, I am trying to set up an automated CentOS installation system. My idea is to use PXE to boot the kernel/initrd and pass the kickstart options to the kernel from there. This works correctly until it boots up Linux. As soon as it does that it makes a DHCP request and, unsurprisingly, it gets the same one (same MAC) but it also gets the filename and next-server details. Then Anaconda tries to use those details instead of the ones I specified on the command line. You can see on one of the other VTs that it is trying to load /pxelinux.0 instead of using http://server/1.ks. I can see three possible solutions for this: -Forcing (somehow) Anaconda to use a fixed IP address (possibly via a %pre script?), or, at least, making it use the kickstart file that gets passed from pxelinux. -Configuring the DHCP server so it knows how to differentiate between requests (not too sure on how to do it yet). -Doing a complete hack. When it gets the second request, it tries to access nfs:/server:/pxeboot.0. I could create the NFS share and add the file there, maybe symlinked to the right one, but it would stop me from being able to have different installations selectable from pxelinux. My ideal solution would be the first, as the other two seem to be workarounds, more than solutions. Any help will be greatly appreciated. iptables logging

I am having below 3 rules for Logging with iptables . They are INPUT,FORWARD and OUTPUT chains. #Log INPUT chain iptables -A INPUT -j LOG --log-level 7 --log-prefix "INPUT: " #Log FORWARD chain iptables -A FORWARD -j LOG --log-level 7 --log-prefix "FORWARD: " #Log OUTPUT chain iptables -A OUTPUT -j LOG --log-level 7 --log-prefix "OUTPUT: " In addition to that, I want to have logging for POSTROUTING,PREROUTING and mangle. Anyone working on Openpbx?

I am interested in getting Openpbx up on Centos. The install information is at http://wiki.openpbx.org/tiki-index.php?page=Getting+Started And it is quite a bit beyond my current skills, so I am looking for some one that has done it and can help step me through it. I want Openpbx over AsteriskNow or Trixbox to get T.38 support.

Kickstart with all the latest updates?

Currently, I kickstart my machines over http to install CentOS 4.4 and then in a script called from %post do a "yum -y update" to install all the latest updates. Is there a way to set up the kickstart server so that I can do this all in one step? In other words, is there a "supported" way to roll in all the updates into the kickstart server? In case it matters, I set up the kickstart server by copying the contents of all CentOS 4.4 CDs (well, from the ISO images actually) into one directory, and then configuring the kickstart file to point to that URL (via http). USB 2 card

Were looking to hook up a Lacie 2TB external drive to be our little rdiff-backup volume and we need a usb 2 interface. Can anyone make a suggestion to a good USB2 PCI card for centos? Thanks, James

Help with mail and attachments

I use postfix mail server with Maildir. I would like the system to save automaticaly content only of those mails which contain a certain word into the file in /home/userdir/. I would also like to save *.pdf and other attachements to directory. Looking forward for your help Best regards Blaž

Try this: \cp from to IIRC, cp is an alias that translates to cp -i, I believe rm and mv are the same. Entering the leading \ overrides the alias. Hope that helps.
