tls not working with postfix in chroot mode on centos4.0

hey friends, I am trying to make postfix run with tls in chroot mode, but I am not able to send the messages with tls on. I am using postfix 2.2.10 on centos 4.0 and I had compiled the postfix from sources with tls & cyrus-sasl support. I copied the certificates from /usr/share/ssl to /etc/postfix. Below are the errors I am getting: May 25 13:27:51 test1 postfix/smtpd[4095]: warning: TLS library problem: 4095 :error:0906406D:PEM routines:DEF_CALLBACK:problems getting password:pem_lib.c:10 5:cyrus-sasl support. Escape character is '^]'. 220 test1.sun.net ESMTP Postfix EHLO test1.sun.net 250-test1.sun.net 250-PIPELINING 250-SIZE 51200000 250-VRFY 250-ETRN 250-STARTTLS 250 8BITMIME starttls 454 TLS not available due to local problem quit I have also attached the result of postconf command with this mail in "postfix.txt" file.Both SELinux and firewall are off on this system. Please let me know if you need any further inputs. Centos and Software RAID

I purchased an Intel D945GNT motherboard and it comes in the BIOS with an option to create a RAID 0 or RAID 1 volumes using my existing two SATA disks. However when installing Centos 4.3 x86_64 I see the the installer recognices the two drives and does not "see" the RAID 0. Is that ok? Should I disable the RAID in the BIOS and then go for a LVM+RAID 0 setup in the installer ? Thunderbird not automatically filter on incomming mail

Hi folks, I've noticed since long time ago that all the filters i have preset in thunderbird on CentOs are not automatically being applied as mail arrives. What i use to do is going to Tools->Run Filters on Folders being reading the "Local Folders -> Inbox" folder. Is there a way to preset it to automatically filter the incomming mail to the corresponding folders? I can remember some time ago it was working ok, but since a mail-store translation from a different machine to this one im having this issue for some accounts/filters only. $ rpm -q thunderbird thunderbird-1.0.8-1.4.1.centos4 TIA Jose.

Yum usage

Trying to find packages that depend on package X.

Quick search in bout "man yum" and "man rpm" shows how to find what package X depends upon, but not what depends upon package X. Of course, we could get a deplist for everything but I'm *guessing* that take more overhead and grep too. "yum remove" tells us. Then we just have to remember to say "No, don't remove". Am I missing something... like I missed that big Google box on the archives? Anyway, if I haven't overlooked something, I was thinking that this might be a good enhancement request for yum's buglist. Do like remove but skip making us reliably answer "no". OK. Did I miss something? Is this a feature that others would find handy? Should I get it on a yum bug list? Thx, -- Bill

Always recovered flawlessly. > Hmmm, maybe it was user error on my part? I lost a 2TB system system built on md, and then again with a 250GB system. It was tough getting 2TB off of tape in a quick manner! :) Ended up doing disk to disk backups, and staying away from software raid. Hardware raid really isn't that expensive these days, even for large 16 drive systems. Mark

Via google: libtiff 3.8.2 http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/idpl/2839214/com/libtiff-3.8.2-2.x86… This got me to a page all about libtiff 3.8.2 for 'Fedora other' and a link http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3?stat=3&search=libtiff&srodzaj=3 for other distributions. I couldn't get it to work without seeing both SATA drives as individual drives. What I did instead was to use a 3Ware card to mirror the drives. I'm just not a big fan of SW raid, so I go hardware when I can. So far, all I have is the basic CentOS installed, this is my first time using CentOS since RH 7.3 days. HTH Mark
