An examples of commands run might be: $ ruby my-app.rb $ gem install activeresource $ bundle In order to view the individual components included in this collection, including additional rubygems plugins, you can run: $ sudo yum list rh-ruby22\* rh-ror41\* The rh-ror41 collection relies on the rh-ruby22 collection and the ror40 collection relies on the ruby200 collection, so the Ruby collections will be also installed when the Ruby on Rails collection is installed. About Software Collections -------------------------- Software Collections give you the power to build, install, and use multiple versions of software on the same system, without affecting system-wide installed packages. Each collection is delivered as a group of RPMs, with the grouping being done using the name of the collection as a prefix of all packages that are part of the software collection. The collection rh-ruby22 delivers bundler and Ruby interpreter in version 2.2, while the collection rh-ror41 delivers Ruby on Rails framework in version 4.1 that allows to create and run applications in Ruby or Ruby on Rails framework. The collection ruby200 delivers only the Ruby interpreter in version 2.0.0, while the ror40 collection delivers Ruby on Rails framework in versoin 4.0 and bundler. The collection ruby193 delivers Ruby interpreter in version 1.9.3, bundler and Ruby on Rails framework in version 3.2. Some of the most common rubygems are also included in the collections as RPMs, the rest may be installed using bundler or gem tools. MariaDB 10.X Master-Slave Replication

Hi, I am configuring master-slave replication in a MariaDB 10.X over Centos 7.1 and I am having some troubles. When I configure the slave I use the following directies in my.cnf: ... master-host = 192.168.122.2 master-user = slave_user master-password = qwerty master-connect-retry = 60 ... But is seems that the daemon doesn't like them and it refuses to start. Does anybody know if those directives have been removed on that version? Setting up them with the following mysql commands inside works. mysql> slave stop; mysql> CHANGE MASTER TO MASTER_HOST='*192.168.122.2*', MASTER_USER='*slave_user*', MASTER_PASSWORD='*qwerty*', MASTER_LOG_FILE='*mysql-bin.000003*', MASTER_LOG_POS=*11128001*; mysql> slave start; mysql> show slave status\G; Cheers, Roberto Nebot -- It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. Shorewall and the latest kernel problem

I just installed the latest kernel 2.6.32-573.8.1.el6.x86_64 and when I rebooted it shorewall (shorewall-4.5.4-1.el6.noarch) failed with the following error ERROR: a non-empty masq file requires NAT in your kernel and iptables /etc/shorewall/masq (line 15) Question is is this a problem in the kernel or is it a problem in Shorewall? Booting the previous kernel allowed shorewall to start normally. Any one else seen this error, if so what's the fix? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Queued TRIM seems to be a problem with this kind of drive (with the latest firmware), and a "recent" kernel (4.1.x) seems to have this fixed this without disabling NCQ completely. Is that patch backported to the "mainline" CentOS 6 or CentOS7 kernel? -- chs

Hi, folks, Question, for those that use/have used bacula: I've been setting up backups for one team, the server on CentOS 6, but they're on Windows. If we install the director on Windows, is it possible for the users to restore files from the server to their own machine? mark

CentOS6: missing kernel module?

Testing out tipc for cluster development, and running into an immediate snag. tipcutils was found in EPEL but despite having a "compatible" kernel, it doesn't seem to actually work. It's a completely updated system, Intel i5 with 16 GB of RAM, nothing remarkable. Any ideas? The code makes extensive use of hard links whenever possible, to greatly reduce the disk space required. It's very easy to set up Rsnapshot with a simple configuration file. You can define hourly, daily, weekly and monthly backups. You run Rsnapshot from crontab and it's all automatic. We run Rsnapshot on the backup server which NFS-mounts the source file system as read-only (NFS read operations are low overhead). You may also use SSH. The backup server has XFS filesystems with the inode64 mount option (no inode problems :-). Our backup filesystems varies from 1-40 TB in size with 100k to 25M inodes. For very large source filesystems you may want to use 10 Gbit/s links to speed up the backups. The only issue I see is with source filesystems containing tens of millions of files, since new inodes have to be allocated on the backup server to "snapshot" a filesystem.
