disable ZTS in php

Hey guys, I'm trying to disable ZTS in php, because an application we need (AppDynamics) is not compatible with it. So what I'd like to know is, did I disable ZTS correctly? If I did that means the problem is on the AppD side so we should take a look there. Appreciate any help on this! Screen

Hey I like to use Ctrl+A and Ctrl+E a lot to navigate my insane big bash one liners but this is incompatible with Screen which has a binding to Ctrl-A. Is it possible to move the screen binding so I can have the best of both worlds? Ta Andrew

Centos 6: language mess with ssh

When I connect through SSH to my Centos 6 box, language are mixed: connection is in english but password change dialog is in french. Example: $ ssh aa@quercy You are required to change your password immediately (root enforced) Last login: Fri Oct 30 11:41:31 2015 from quercy WARNING: Your password has expired. You must change your password now and login again! Changement de mot de passe pour l'utilisateur aa. Nouveau mot de passe : Retapez le nouveau mot de passe : (Current) Password: passwd : mise à jour réussie de tous les jetons d'authentification. Connection to quercy closed. I tried: "LANG=C ssh aa@quercy" and I get the same mess. Greetings. Please help me. I have installed Centos 7 , but when I do, yum update give me error next. Complementos cargados:fastestmirror, langpacks One of the configured repositories failed (Desconocido), and yum doesn't have enough cached data to continue. At this point the only safe thing yum can do is fail. There are a few ways to work "fix" this: 1. Contact the upstream for the repository and get them to fix the problem. 2. Reconfigure the baseurl/etc. for the repository, to point to a working upstream. This is most often useful if you are using a newer distribution release than is supported by the repository (and the packages for the previous distribution release still work). 3. Disable the repository, so yum won't use it by default. Yum will then just ignore the repository until you permanently enable it again or use --enablerepo for temporary usage: yum-config-manager --disable <repoid> 4. Configure the failing repository to be skipped, if it is unavailable. Note that yum will try to contact the repo. when it runs most commands, so will have to try and fail each time (and thus. yum will be be much slower). If it is a very temporary problem though, this is often a nice compromise: yum-config-manager --save --setopt=<repoid>.skip_if_unavailable=true Cannot find a valid baseurl for repo: base/7/x86_64 Gracias de antemano. Detecting empty office doc containing virus macro

We are receiving LOTS of emails that contain empty XLS or DOC documents with embedded virus macros. These are getting past SPAMASSASSIN, Clamav and Kaspersky. I'm trying to write a filter for EXIM to block these emails but I need to know a good, quick, command-line to detect an empty doc with a macro. Is there anything available that I can use?? I have managed to write a PERL script to detect empty xls xlsx, doc and docx files but I cannot detect whether they have any macros embedded Gary

Semi-OT: fail2ban issue

RPM `requires` installation order

Hello All, I'm a bit of newbie with rpm/yum, seeking the help from rpm/yum experts. Suppose I have an RPM package A which depends on package B. RPM A's spec has 'Requires:B' tag with 'autoprov' and 'autoreq' enabled. When I install RPM A on a 'centos 6.5' machine with 'RPM version 4.8.0', using the command `yum install A` : * `rpm` installs A first, then it installs B. * The installation of B could partially fail. That is, A would installed even if the installation of the dependency, B has failed. Is this the expected behaviour? (Shouldn't B be installed before A?) Can the same behaviour be expected across versions (such as el5)? I was hoping that the dependencies would be installed before the main package is installed. Which would prevent the installation of the main package, If one of the dependencies failed to install. I have tried `PreReq` tag as well, which has same behaviour as far as I can tell. Is there any other means to accomplish my requirement? Thanks, Shyam

firewalld-config Centos 7(1) fine tuning

hello, I have now update a System from Centos 7 to 7(1) with all updates now the firewall-config don't work anymore :-(. Why is firewall-config working on a (old) Centos 7 but not on a CentOs 7(1)? I have this Error now ** (firewall-config:30598): WARNING **: Couldn't connect to accessibility bus: Failed to connect to socket /tmp/dbus-HNMIxNWkgn: Verbindungsaufbau abgelehnt ERROR:root:Could not find any typelib for NetworkManager Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/firewall-config", line 34, in <module> from gi.repository import NetworkManager ImportError: cannot import name NetworkManager The Problem exist also when I start NetworkManager :-(. phpMyAdmin mbstring extension is missing

This is a fairly new install of CentOS7 and I'm trying to install phpMyAdmin (http). When I access http://server/phpMyAdmin it throws: The mbstring extension is missing. Please check your PHP configuration. There is a mbstring.ini in /etc/php.d with: ; Enable mbstring extension module Extension=mbstring.so /etc/php.ini has: : extension_dir = "/etc/php.d" : Not sure where to go now. Frank M.
