I can certainly understand and appreciate that. However, some Fedora packages that I assumed would be "basic" don't seem to exist for Centos. At least, I haven't found them.
One example is the Gnumeric spreadsheet. I installed the FC6 gnumeric rpm the other day and it seems to work on Centos 5.
Yes, this is something we should provide within RPMforge and (maybe) even offer by default on a CentOS addon repository.
We are working on improving the additional packages from the community, hopefully the future will be much brighter :)
