Hello scty library,
I had huge problems with NVIDIA cards on Linux. The screen would go blank as soon as X tried to load. I only tried using the driver that came with CentOS.
After lots of parts swapping, I found that the monitor (obviously) and (even) the motherboard make a difference.
If so what did you do about it.
Finally, I gave up on NVIDIA cards -- I got a Voodoo Banshee card and things have been easy since.

It is a kernel problem. The stack size changed in the 2.6 kernel. You need a version of the kernel with the old 8k stack size. You can get such a kernel from: www.linuxant.com/driverloader/wlan/full/downloads-fc2-kernel-i686.php
As you can see these are fedora kernels but might work on centos. -- ------------------------------------------- Aaron Konstam Computer Science Trinity University One Trinity Place. San Antonio, TX 78212-7200
