Is there a way in CENTOS 4.1 to set up users with different default desktops so that they do not have to select it via the sessions selection on the login screen?
switchdesk
Hi Ignacio!
If I not mistaken, I believe switchdesk changes the settings in '/etc/sysconfig/desktop' which whould make it global for all users. If so, that is not what I am looking for.
No, it changes it only for the user that runs it.

Yup! That did the trick. I haven't tried that command since RH9, or maybe it was Caldara. I thought I remembered it changing the selection for everyone.
Anyway, thanks for the pointer!
