what do you mean? i always get the binary(not rpm) from mozilla.org
It's perfectly possible do do this with the RPM version, it's just not trivial. The downside of using Mozilla's installers is that you lose all the *other* advantages that RH adds to the RPM such as pango support.
So, why not simply take SRPM package, modify spec file to remove Gnome specific stuff, and rebuild binary RPM?
