Karanbir, glad to hear this. We have been discussing this a lot of times. Hope the process's really going to happen. It's very important to not stop releasing security updates within the distro rebuild time.
Some updates may depend on packages that are part of the next minor version, so you either have to decide if you release parts of the upcoming version or to wait. In such a case I personally would prefer to wait.
