I am having a similar problem with my scsi tape drive, where it is not being seen and i cant seem to find the driver anywhere. i know it is being seen,1. the bios is seeing it 2. i had this tape drive working before with rh7.3. i looked in the /boot/config and found the driver but it had this CONFIG_SCSI_AHA152X=m if i am reading this right it is saying it is not going to be out there no matter what i do. Do i have to recompile the kernel to have this driver finally included. --- Steve Dussinger sdussin1@tampabay.rr.com wrote:
OK, I've gotten the package installed, but still nothing. It still fails to load ohci1394 and my device is not recognized when I plug it in. Is there any documentation on how to get this running under CentOS?

It appears that no support for firewire drives
has been included. I
am unable to find the ohci1394 or sbp2 modules
anywhere. Are there
other packages which must be installed from the
distribution to get
firewire devices to be recognized?
Thanks.

yum install kernel-unsupported
