I favour the European Union making open-source computer operating systems the preferred Public Sector choice. The massive state-funded M$ domination, and effective monopoly of new desktops and laptops, stifles innovation and competition. ('State' as in sovereign state)
Its time a free Centos DVD was given away by retailers selling consumer desktops and laptops (including netbooks, notebooks etc.). Forcing consumers to buy M$ at extra cost is wrong.
