For best speed, use the Bittorrent links and verify the checksums against those published at www.centos.org. You can also buy a set of DVD's at www.centos.org, which can save a lot of household bandwitdh.
You can also extract the CD or DVD contents into a local mirror to save local bandwidth quite a lot.
