Hello:
I have a Supermicro SuperServer 5015P-TR. It has a Pentium D and is running CentOS x86_64.
Can this machine use 8GB RAM?
I think it should because it is running a 64 bit OS, but I am concerned because it is fundamentally 32 bit hardware.
Anyone have any experience in this area?
Thanks, Neil

You need to know if the mainboard support the 8GB. I have a Asus mainboard which has 8GB of RAM and a Pentium D 3.2Ghz model 920.

googling a bit I found that it supports 8GB, so CentOS x64bit should run nicely http://www.supermicro.com/products/system/1U/5015/SYS-5015P-TR.cfm
