There are no settings in BIOS for AHCI mode, it's only possible to choose between raid and sata controller mode, i have chosen sata mode.
Check to see if there's a BIOS update on HP's site. I had some DL160s with an old BIOS with no option for AHCI mode. After upgrading to the most recent BIOS, the option was there.
