but actually FOSS. Neither Sun Java nor the Flash plugin are FOSS, and therefore not under consideration for several distros.
I wasn't even talking the "anal" Debian software guidelines/ classifications. I'm talking vendors who do _not_ allow redistribution of their software under the terms that distros do.
While RHEL does distribute some packages that aren't FOSS, their distribution rights don't necessarily extend to the CentOS project.
Or any other redistribution, hence the issue. Redistributing them _would_ be illegal. ;->
