As such, you will need to run the following command to mount a CD or DVD to /media: mount /dev/cdrom /mediaThe problem is not only when logged in as root. I did that (su - and then: mount /dev/cdrom /media) and I was able to install the Package I wanted. My question remains, what configuration file do I need to change, to get automount to work correctly on that box? (The same DVD was used to install CentOS 5.0 on my box and my daughters box). put something like this on you /etc/fstab
[host ]# cat /etc/fstab | grep cdrom /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom udf,iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0
