"Better engagement with the community" of course requires that the community step up and engage. Trust isn't something anyone expects to just magically happen.

I think you should just stop replying your only digging the hole deeper IMHO. This is a major change and potentially a lot of work for a lot of people. Just another great 2020 gift.
