Then you should keep a local mirror that you manage yourself if this is so critical.
We *have* a mirror, and have had, since long before I came on board. I, personally, built the 5.5 one the beginning of last week, before I started rolling out updates.
So, what's going on?

The metadata are not in sync on public mirrors, there is not much I can do.
