Actually, that's the problem that Red Hat Satellite Server can solve. You can approve packages for deployment. Thus, when provisioning new servers, they get updates from the approved list. Thanks for the pointer. I've looked at it a few weeks ago back when there was some news about it and it looked promising but I didn't have time to learn it in depth. Will keep it in my stack of things to look at.
