No. I didn't know what it did.
It very specifically mentioned improving the search capability in the dialog where you made that choice...
Wait, I just noticed that the 'Edit/Find/Search Messages' has an option to run search on server. If you check that, do you get 'body' in the drop-down?
If you have local disk space you'll probably want the speed from local indexing anyway, though.
