I think you mean VirtualBox 5.1.26. And yes, there's some trouble with it with the latest update. Check out the CentOS 1708 release notes.
Workaround is to use VirtualBox 5.1.26 with the 5.1.27 VBoxGuestAdditions.iso. Tried this out here, works perfectly.
