In fact, I've never even heard of simple-mtpfs, so, I'll start googling. Note: I ran a locate, and, whatever it is, it's not on my system.
EDIT: Googling, I find out the definition: SIMPLE-MTPFS (Simple Media Transfer Protocol FileSystem) is a file system for Linux (and other operating systems with a FUSE implementation, such as Mac OS X or FreeBSD) capable of operating on files on MTP devices attached via USB to local machine. It allows the end user to seamlessly interact with MTP device files.
