How can I know that I have to use i386 or x86_64, my machine is not very
new though
Do some research on your computer - who makes it, what model number, what cpu, how much ram?
i386 is 32bit, x86_64 is 64 bit. If you have 4 gigs of ram or more, you'll likely want the 64bit.
