What does your /etc/nsswitch.conf file contain?
#/etc/nsswitch.conf passwd: files nis shadow: files nis group: files nis
I also was reminded to perform ypinit -s server and was reminded again of the Can't enumerate maps error. ypinit -m on the server has been performed numerous times, but still nothing...
