Not sure what other info can be of help. Anyone else have this front / back swap issue? Anyone have any ideas why no front channel audio output on flash/firefox?? What if anything allows these various audio channels to connect / cross connect?
TIA for any suggested reading - my google foo has failed to locate anything recent that might relate to CentOS 6.
Finally found it - the gnome-volume-control app actually spawns the Preferences>Sound dialog and under the Applications tab the various running sound apps are shown. The firefox/flash plugin shows as ALSA plug-in [npviewer.bin] and was muted - simply unmute and all is well.
