Yum search "name", but it will only look in

Are you sure about that?
The description of "yum search" in the manual
says:
search Is used to find any packages
matching a string in the descrip-
tion, summary, packager and package
name fields of an rpm. Use-
ful for finding a package you do not
know by name but know by
some word related to it.
It doesn't mention file names.
In case my example from Debian wasn't clear -
"apt-file" will allow
searching by file-names through all repositories -
including installed
and uninstalled pacakges.
Thanks,

Sorry-- I fired before I read the entire message. Yum search searches by package name.
