Hello all, I have this nice Sun quad fast ethernet card that I would like to use in my Centos server. I have used it in the past on my old server without problems. When I insert it in my new server (Epox 8k3a AMD mobo, XP1800 processor) I get the following messages in dmesg:
ACPI: PCI interrupt 0000:02:00.1[B] -> GSI 5 (level, low) -> IRQ 5 sunhme.c:v2.02 24/Aug/2003 David S. the MAC address for eth0 is correct, the other mac-adressess appear to be random. I have been googling around, but have not been able to find a solution. Does anybody hee have an idea what the problem migt be, or how to tackle the problem?
for the record: I am running the 2.6.9-34.EL kernel, but had the problem with older kernels as well.
As the card worked under Centos 4 on my Asus K7M mobo, it looks as a mobo or bios problem, but I am not sure. Any help is very much appreciated.
kind regards, Louis
