I liked Word Pro (never went as far back as Ami Pro) because it was "cleaner" than Office or WordPerfect. At first I tried WordStar for Windows, but it really wasn't WordStar and it was limited. Word Pro was just a better alternative. My Dad has Lotus SmartSuite installed in Wine, but he hardly ever uses it now -- he's gone to OpenOffice.
